   | Paste it in one of Data's maps and then save it over your old map.
(Changes palette)

   | What would be the problem if there is no gold/boulders/plants on the map?

   | I'm not sure if this is the right section, but maybe someone can help me anyway.
I'm trying to make my first map, and I've just finished a bunker foreground. I'm trying to make the material pic of it now. I tried filling the inside of the base with the purple that (i think) signifies empty space. But, for some reason, it became some weird grayish color. At first I thought it was my colorblindness ( ) but then I checked the RGB of the color in there under 'Edit Colors'. Sure enough, it was a completely different color. It now refuses to be filled in as the color I need, and everywhere I draw the purple I need, it just draws this gray color. Help?

   | for the material bitmap, you have to use the the material palette, that you can extract from any of the mat bitmaps of the existing parts. and then apply it to your mat bitmap.
and I don't know how to do that with something else than photoshop.

   | The materials pallete is much more restricted. Open any MAT bmp to see the range of colors you can use.

   | Yeah, that's what I did. I opened a mat file and checked the RGB for each color. Then I chose that color in mine and used it. The Concrete color worked fine, but the purple is weirding out.
EDIT: Fixed it! All I had to do was copy the mat bmp of my bunker into the mat bmp of one of the others, and then use eyedropper to get the color right.

But now I have a new question: Is there some way to just darken stuff easily in Paint? OR do I need to copy and paste it into CorelDraw?

   | Make sure you have the right number of tabs. It's very picky about that. Look at the other scene.inis to see how you're supposed to do it.
