well, the GBA bootser could just be used for the physics engine or graphics, so the game will run as smoothly as on a computer.

Uhh...no.

GBA cards are memory only. They do absolutely NIL processing. They hold information only, nothing is done to it. Only the handheld itself processes.

Actually, the DS juist came out with a web browser and they completely modded the GBA cartridge so that it COULD process it....
It might not sound possible right now, but it could be made eventually.

Pretty much.

The DS will absolutely not run it, period. It's running on a processor slower than probably any computer you people might have lying around in your basements.
And it's a completely different computer architecture, so it would require extensive reprogramming. D.I.R.T. started sometime in 2004, right? And 3 years later, DR is still working on it. It's never going to happen.

The PSP won't work either. People have claimed that you can overclock a PSP to about 1 Ghz, but that's going to make it incredibly prone to damage. Who is going to superclock a PSP, risking bricking it, just to play CC for 15 minutes? And even that would lag horrendously.

And none of this is even considering the legality of homebrew and modding.

Just play it on your PCs, it's not worth getting hyped up about the "remote possibility" that it would work. If you really want to play it on the go, just buy a laptop. You can run the game perfectly fine on a $200-300 machine.

If anyone disagrees with this(As I didn't bother reading such a stupid topic past this post) kill yourself lololol.

Cortex command won't be made for the DS. I doubt Data knows anything about programming games for the DS.

Never happening, the DS doesn't even come remotely close to having enough power to run the game.

Look guys, I'm a big homebrew guy on my DS, so I know a bit about it.
Homebrew makers have problems even with getting a web browser to work properly, and with 133mHz (you could overclock it, but it would still be slower than my 7 year old computer), physics is not an option here. My computer has problems running it, and it has 1.5gb of RAM and a 1.6gHz processor. The DS would be running at somewhere above 133mHz and 8mb of RAM, with all modifications made. There is no way that the processor could handle Cortex Command. Heck, homebrew people are having problems running Quake (90 mHz, but a lot of RAM. Also, graphics processing have to be put onto the processor).

So yeah, don't get your hopes up. A better platform would be the GP2X, but that's only 233 mHz.
Who knows...
The bolded part is a lie. I have a 256 RAM 1.2 ghz comp. and I've never had problems unless using crazy mods, so you're full of crap.

No, it's simple that they can't. Maybe they could but it'd be slow as hell. There's too much going on in Cortex Command that any hand held couldn't handle.

Thank you for saying that, chineseboy14 is a fanboy who is going to say the PSP is god no matter what, but if you wouldn't have said that I would have spammed him. I am a fanboy of hating fanboys^_^

Because flaming and spamming are the ways to "saving" the community, right?
