Re: WH40k basic space marines.
'Cause it seems to over-write the default SM.rte, what'd you change?

Re: WH40k basic space marines.
I made the bullets into explosive bolts, it says in the text file to rename the old files so you don't lose them.
here's the final version, should be perfect.
if you want me to release it separately in its own .rte i can do that too.
also included in the second download is an improved bolt pistol magazine sprite

This please. I fear this might conflict with changes I have made already

If you're going to claim to be a 40K nerd get your facts right or I'll curb-stomp you. gonna have to catch me first =P, don't rely (I think thats how it's spellt) on wiki, even if it's right, someone comes along and changes it, stuff released by Games Workshop about Games Workshop stuff is more reliable. But I have to admit exploding rounds would be a lot more fun... Who ever had the link to the terminaters should make the legs a lot fatter, look at any sapce marine terminator art and the legs are HUGE, kick an ork 20 miles if they were fast enough

Re: WH40k basic space marines.
To clarify: Space marines are super-men ordered into creation by the supreme emperor, they are cloned, but they have minds and personalities, although we don't hear much from them, apart from the high-rankers and holy men. Bolters are rapidfire RPGs/Rockets with rounds that explode on contact. They move fast enough to penetrate into the targets innards, then explode.

They are recruited by the chapters on various planets (by various I mean uncountable). I also don't see how this help in any way since this has been stated for the past 5 pages. And is anybody done with their mods yet?

No they're not, Jesus. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Creatio ... ace_MarineQuote: Recruits are chosen from young and promising warriors. The recruits are then indoctrinated to become absolutely dedicated and merciless. They are genetically re-engineered to give them superhuman abilities. They are capable of spitting acidic venom, absorbing the memories of the dead by eating their flesh, darkening their skin to protect it from radiation, and operating for long periods without sleep by switching off parts of their brains at a time.2, 3
The creation of a Space Marine requires several methods and stages and takes a good deal of time. A young, usually pre-teen, healthy recruit is the basic requirement for a Space Marine. Also a sample of the Chapter's gene-seed is required for implantation. Implantation goes hand-in-hand with chemical treatment, psychological conditioning and subconscious hypnotherapy. All of these are essential if the Marine is to develop properly, and acquire full use of the implants. They are, emphatically, NOT cloned. The Primarchs were cloned from the Emperor's DNA, and gene-seed contains portions of the Emperor's replicated DNA, but it is introduced after the individual has been recruited and passed training.

to some extent I would still consider it a form of cloning. They are bassically taking another human and grafting on to them the qualities of another soldier.

Corrections, since people here have to be such nerds: I don't know a lot about space marines, I know about necrons, ask me about them and I'm happy to explain. Space Marines = Modified (Note- NOT CLONED) Humans, in suits of armour that may or may not be technologically powered, depending on their job(AKA Techmarines have bionic arms on their backs) At least I got the bolter right. No wait, they are MINI RPGs/Rockets.

Re: WH40k basic space marines.
Bolters are GyroJets with HE ammunition. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GyrojetEnd of argument. (GyroJets are cool as hell, but ammunition is so rare that it usually costs 50-100 dollars a round to fire)
