They may be the green team, but they aren't hippies. Plus, do the team 1's and 0's shoot at team 2's?

I think you could just make it an MOSRotating with attachments, I don't think it would need to be an actor.

Only problem is that they would be controllable, which is annoying

I think that yeah, that'd be great if they were MOSRotatings.

One more suggestion... make a background version (slightly darker) so we can fight in the forest without having to climb/dig over/through every single tree. Then we can have true forests!

Edit: And if you could, add some roots. Would look cool.

Perhaps there should be different trees tailored to certain elements. Rock based "petrified" trees could be hard to eliminate, flaming trees could emit fire, and frozen ones could explode when shot (frozen trees do explode, it has to do with the freezing making them rly rly condensed or something).

Yes.
Have you ever seen someone playing with liquid nitrogen?
In my science class, my teacher froze celery, and it shattered when she tapped it.

It becomes so hard that it loses all its ability to bend, and is therefore brittle.

What happens is that the water particles (yes they're everywhere in living things, even after they're dead. That's why you can warm chicken on a microwave, practically anything we eat has water in it) inside of the cells freeze. When they freeze, they turn into a crystalline form, thereby becoming brittle. However, after they absorb enough energy from the environment, ie they just get warmer because the temperature is higher on the outside, the water particles will simply melt back into liquid and the tissue would be severely frostbitten but wouldn't really explode at this point.

So, keeping a tree at a temperature where the water stays crystalline would be very impractical as it takes twice as much energy to lower the temperature 1 degree as it does to raise it.

Though your concept isn't bad... how about someone makes a liquid nitrogen sprayer? could come in bunker entrance form, activated as a door... is it possible to activate emitters in the same way doors are? Like it'll start emitting when an enemy is nearby.

Anyway, a nitrogen sprayer would basically kill an actor without gibbing him. I've seen it happen, though don't know how.
