You see the monster very clearly like, 5 times.

The movie is the best done one in regards to city-wide destruction.

The ruins of Manhatten, mixed with the camera, makes you actually feel like your there.

The characters are genuinly belivable, and actually cause concren.

The special effects department also deserves a medal.

Also tucker, don't freak out because you haven't seen it.

Who would've thought they could get away with such a non-ending?

There better be a sequel coming that actually tells us something.

Fixed.

Yeah I saw it, I wish I didn't spend $8 to though. Should've waited for the DVD release so my brother can Netflix' it.

The movie itself is not half bad. But the ending is HORRIBLE, and TOTALLY not satisifing. AT ALL. You NEVER learn what was going on, where that beast(s?) came from and what those small things were. I heard somewhere that the monster is from a meteor? You would NEVER know from the movie. I hope the special features or a sequel will enlighten us.

The only funny part is when they were in the tunnels, "FLAMING HOBOS!", but right after that they get attacked and it's not funny anymore.

My dad hated it. I liked it.

The reason that they really didn't explain it is because it was after all seen from just a normal civilian's perspectice, not a scientist or general. Therefore, you only learn as much as what the characters learn.

I also liked the ending. It shows clearly that they ran out of tape, and quite frankly, life doesn't always have a happy ending. The chances of you escaping from a 40-foot tall monster, that can release antlion/zergling puppies, and can withstand a carpet bombing, are very VERY slim. I liked that they died, it shows that the world isn't full of puppie dogs and roses.

ALSO: after the credits, an audio clip is played that says "Help us" slightly distorted. When played backwards it clearly says "It's still alive" (no, not the song). This not only hints to the monsyer being alive, but adds the possibility that Rob and Beth are still alive as well.

SEQUEL TIME. KTHXBAI.

OP = Original Post. I see three sentences still. When you MAKE a topic, as in, the time between when you click "New Topic" and when you click "Post Reply", you do more than three sentences.

What voice?

I stayed until the very very end of credits, and there was really nothing.

Also, the ending was perfect for what it was. A civilian documentary.

Sequel will be the Government response, or the monster making it's way into mainland America with or without more monsters like itself.

It was a 4/5 for me. Left too much room for a sequel.

Also, who saw the epic Star Trek preview?

That looks awsome.
