Re: Inside of HDD
Unless your hard drive is like, over 100 years old, they hardly make any noise anymore.

So, are we just learning what HDs look like?
They're really not all that interesting.

Re: Inside of HDD
I havn't heard that sound since the last time my Windows 98 booted up. Which was 3-4 years ago.
You do know that only ancient and cheap computers do this, right?

You do realize that the sound is better muffled by the case of the drive now, right?

Well, I like when I can hear that sound, it let's me know if my computer freezes or not...

Re: Inside of HDD
I'm ready for ♥♥♥♥ flash drives as Hard Drives. Basically, entire HD is a RAM stick. Really rough way of explaining it, as I'm not too sure myself.

Re: Inside of HDD
Speaking of sounds, every time my PC tries to read the Crysis DVD, it makes this weird knocking sound that repeats every 3 beats.
KNOCKwhiiir...2...3...KNOCKwhiiiiir...2...3...KNOCKwhiiiiiir
It's extremely annoying.
