How to Use mIRC (And other IRC clients)
This guide will give be a How-To setup mIRC and OpenSSL.

Now this guide is a howto using OpenSSL. With OpenSSL installed you can connect to the server via port +7001 , secure connection.
So, download OpenSSL and install it, Petty simple.
Now open mIRC and press alt +o / Or go to Tools>Options.
go to connect>servers , Hit Add
For Description: DataRealms
ircserver: cortex.datarealms.com
port: +7001 (if your did not install openssl , you can use port 6667 )
Group: DataRealms
Hit add and select then go to options (just below of the server tab you were in)
Hit the perform and hit add. Find DataRealms and add it.
Now here you can add commands that start when you connect to the server.
Lets add
Code:
/nick YourNick
/msg nickserv identify yourpassword> (Omit this line if you have yet to register your nick.)
/join #drlchat
click ok and lets connect to the server
hit the lighting bolt, now you should automactly connect and join #drlchat
Now lets register your nick if you have yet to
/ns REGISTER password [email]
You will then get a email with a passcode in it, just copy and paste the line it gives you. and now your registerd . Put the password in the perform box from above.
Now you should be connected to #drlchat on irc.synirc.net with +7001 (SSL). And a registered nick.
