Frets on Fire
Heres a pretty cool game you guys might like; Frets on Fire. This is the computer version of Guitar Hero, it is free and can be found here http://fretsonfire.sourceforge.net/. Heres the instructions in case it's that mind boggling; Press F1-F5 for the notes, and when you do that press (default) Enter, but I changed it to backspace. It's pretty fun, hope you like it.

Re: Frets on Fire
The timing is way stricter for the notes, and not even that much fun compared to GH, at least in my opinion.

Yes, FoF is only better than Guitar Hero in that it allows customized songs.

They need to meet with the people who made Stepmania. That is basically the free DDR on the computer. They have custom timing windows and easy themes and such, I think they should take some notes.
SOmeone is still working otn he mod to convert Stepmania into Guitar Hero.

DDR is for ♥♥♥♥♥♥s. Lern2GuitarHero. Also, a USB guitar wouldn't be hard at all.

Re: Frets on Fire
Why use a USB controller?
Just get a PS2 to USB thing, I use it for my stepmania.
Pyro, what I meant was, the basic structure of guitar hero and stepmania aswell as the things that sim beatmania (DJ sim) and pop'n music (squash random circles to do stuff)are basically shapes flow up or down something, there are "freeze" or holds that you must hold it down, and thats the thin im talking about.
The main difference (stepmania vs the guitar hero thing) is the fret bar and the 5 rows.
Im just saying if they can get some programming stuff from Stepmania it would help their project.

That's not a very nice thing to say... after all... you are a Mod... shouldn't you be setting a good example? Aaaaanywhoooo... I played FoF, and I didn't like the way you make songs, it's just like playing. I wanted an editor that you could set the bpm, and align the notes along those beats.

At the cost of voiding your warranty and potentially breaking the disc and ps2. But, yes, I know it's possible; but this is far easier.

Re: Frets on Fire
I'm simply saying that you should be nicer to the games and other views and opinions that people like.
ON-TOPIC: One of the reasons that I don't like FoF, is probably because of the fact that I never downloaded a song. I only played the 3 that came with it, and tried to make my own.

Good lord, Kokits just stop. He asked you pretty sternly to just drop it.
He's a staff member for a reason. Why do people think online communities are democracies? They aren't Chill, folks.
