Me and D&D
Ok as a classic example of an uber nerd, I play D&D. However, My recently made characters have been a little bland... I need some geeky advice to get the ball rolling.
Character 1: Rach, The dwarven Construct. He is a replica of a dwarf in robot form. Need something more...
Character 2: Cord, The freaky raptor riding lizzardfolk.
Character 3: Ronald McRegan, a diplomat from a country of beef farmers.
Need other things to spruce the hell out of them...

Re: Me and D&D
You can always make one retarded. My newest character is a retarded ninja (actually monk class)
I also know someone who's character is a magic tree in a wheelbarrow
If you want to be boring about it, just multiclass or match a race with its worst class <just suggestions>

Re: Me and D&D
I <3 D&D
Roderick, the generic upper-class Victorian age Londoner, BUT, he has implants in his head which give him incredible strength and speed. And a vast catalogue of knowledge.
Half the time he's in awe of his own powers, the other half he's being snobby and calling the goblins "ruffians" and "Oiks" and "riff-raff".

Make a claustrophobic miner...but be prepared, when you start playing it, strange things will start happening due the extreme paradox thing.

Frankly, any type of character with a fear of something common, and actually roleplaying that fear. Is hilarious.

That crap is fuuuuun. Until you trip. Then you can't get up very fast. How the hell do you get implants in the victorian age. And since when does putting something in your brain make you stronger, maybe allows for adrenaline at will, but even then it's limited.

Re: Me and D&D
Who said it had to make sense?
I just said the guy was Victorian, I didn't say that's where he got his implants from...

Sorry, but I adhere to the idea that the only wat to stop godmodding is to keep some degree of reality involved.
True.

Re: Me and D&D
It's about FUN, not Uber-realism.
After all it's not as if goblins exist.

Did I say uber-realism? No.
You really ought to stop putting words in people's mouths, before one of them bites your hand.

Re: Me and D&D
No need to get like that, I just thought that was what you were implying.
After all, Victorian brain implants are about as likely as goblins.

Re: Me and D&D
That's preposterous, a goblin would be a separate evolutionary chain, Victorian-era brain implants that actually enchance brain function are as preposterous as someone deflecting an RPG round with a piece of paper.
Perhaps he was kept alive by some chistry experiment that succeeded in stopping him from aging as fast as he should have, and survived into a time period where brain implants with such functions are more plausible. Maybe he was in a sort of hibernation, to avoid having his mannerisms change over the years.
