New rig
Hey guys! I'm posting this from windows Vista. I got all the parts for my new PC yesterday, put it together, and finished up today. It's not really that insane of specs, but it's the most powerful computer I've owned to date. Anyway, here are my specs:
Processor: Intel Dual Core 1.86 ghz Memory: 1 GB Video Card:NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS Sound card: Turtle Beach Montego DDL Device (I ran out of funds for a big fancy X-Fi card or anything.) OS: Windows Vista Home Basic
So yeah, most of the newer games I bought now run smooth as a baby's ass.

Re: New rig
Would that be a Core 2 Duo for the CPU? Looks like a good medium-end rig though. How much did it cost?

Re: New rig
Can you give us an itemization of the cost you paid for each item, and then how uch you paid with shipping?
I'm curious how you got up to $1000 US.

I'm curious how you got up to $1000 US. I'll have to dig up the papers again. I read something from a magazine and probably got the costs mixed up.

Heh, I got my comp for 9000 Shekels (I teh livs in Israels) about 2 (Maybe abit less, like, 1.5 years) years ago, now you can buy it somewhere around 6000
A basic gaming computer (That actully works) will cost you around 3500~4000
