Post What is the scariest game you have ever played?
I personally have not yet played any scary games but the fear demo (im not much of a horror person) but I just got Thief Deadly Shadows and I googled it and it came up with this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srDSPtKZhfk
Everyone says it is a super scary level Im even too afraid too watch the video.

The strange thing is that im way different with movies I have seen DOOM (scared my pants off) and I pretty much laugh my pants off at zombie movies (my favorite genre)

Anyways what is the scariest game / game level you have ever played?

Metroid prime.

I was 7.

It was pitch black and you had to use the thermal visor.

There were metroids.

and space pirates.

I hated that so much.

The first time I played through Silent Hill 1.
I still have it on my Playstation. One of my top-5 games, for sure!

Games like DOOM 3, FEAR, and Silent Hill never bothered me in the least. Fatal Frame 2 actually brought back some of my fears of the dark, and I'm 17.

It really messes with your head.

Actually, I haven't played that many horror games. But:

Theme Hospital used to freak me out a bit, especially when patients are dying left, right and centre of "Invisible Man" syndrome.
Also, playing Halo at the moment, and the Flood make it more like Resident Evil than Halo.

I tend to not play scary games. I just don't get the rush that everyone else gets.

That, and I'm not allowed to play M-rated games. And I don't particularly want to play most of them, anyway.

Come on, Ravenholm is not THAT scary. Sure, it's dark, there are craploads of zombies and there's very few ammo... but you have F. Grigori helping you from time to time, there's plenty of junk to toss at zombies with the Gravity Gun, and several awesome traps set up by Grigori to smash zombies with. Also, if you kept DOG's ball from Black Mesa East, it will kill headcrabs and distract zombies for you.

I remember playing the Cradle level on Thief, and it scared the ever living ♥♥♥♥ out of me. That's one of the scariest moments in gaming.

The first flood encounter on Halo was minor, ravenholm was more "IMMA KILLIN' TEM ZOMBIEEZZ" more than "OMG TURN IT OFF!!!!".

Silent Hill was pretty damn scary.
So was Fatal Frame 2.

I always thought Ravenholm was scary and ♥♥♥♥ cause I hate the HL2 zombies and the way they pop out of the ground, but after going through it WITHOUT CHEATING 2 days ago I realised it wasnt... So I was like "IMMA CHATGIN' MAH ENERGYGUN" "ENERGYGUN DA WHOOP!!!"

5. Halo (flood levels)
4. Doom 3
3. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl
2. Ravenholm, Half-Life 2.
And at the number one spot...
1. System Shock 2

God, that game scared me shitless, and I barely even played it.
