Thinking of getting Orange Box
I still haven't ever gotten the chance to play any of the games included in the orange box, and seeing as it's summer and I just got a crapload of money, I figured it might be time that I get some of the games. Alas, my hard drive is beginning to run out of space, so here's my question: Assuming I get absolutely NO addons for it, approximately how many gigabytes will the whole set, downloaded from Steam, be? In case this affects anything, I already have Garry's Mod, which includes (I think) all the hl2 models and sounds.

Re: Thinking of getting Orange Box
Holy crap, my steam folder is 16.6 GB, all I have is the orange box, Garry's mod and HL2 deathmatch (it was free)... Is that abnormally large? Does that answer the question?

Perfect, that's around the size I was guessing. Thanks.

Is the orange box any good? I don't really play FPS's that much.

I guarantee you'll like one or two games included. It fits a variety of styles.

Re: Thinking of getting Orange Box
I've seen trailers for all the games, I know I'll like them. I like shooting zombies and class-based games, as well as physics puzzles. That pretty much fits everything

Re: Thinking of getting Orange Box
My Steam folder is about 40 GB, which isn't that bad considering all the games I have on it.

For me,
Entire Steam Folder: 29.1 GB Orange Box combined: 890.4 MB Just Ep2 Folder: 256 MB Just TF2 Folder: 553 MB Just Portal Folder: 81.4 MB
P.S. Get TF2 at least, so I can burn you.

Re: Thinking of getting Orange Box
For the hell of it, my Steam folder:
33.6gb :3
I honestly was thinking it'd be about 50.
Also Orange Box for me is about the same as Tim.

I've got it for the 360, and I'd recommend it for the PC, joystick aiming is lacking compared to the mouse, in my opinion

Re: Thinking of getting Orange Box
I do recommend the Orange Box. You already have GMOD, correct? Well the Orange Box adds new textures, sounds and models to GMOD, letting you see (generally Episode 2) textures when map makers use them. Not to mention it's fun .
