Re: GTA 4
Argh, everybody has an Xbox. Nobody I know has a PS3! This is extremely aggravating! Nobody I know that I can play GTA or Rock Band or anything online with! ..And I'm getting this sometime this week hopefully. My local video game establishments were sold out at 12:01 AM this morning and don't expect to have any copies available. I would've preordered, but I had bad luck with the last thing I preordered (incidentally, SSBB) so I've made a grudge against it. That reminds me.. Empy has a PS3.

Re: GTA 4
Aside from the irrelevant comment above,
Pros - Looks great, boats are fun as well choppers and holding up the museum whilst blasting away at the Five-O while they bust in through the door. Storyline is actually pretty cool, the main character is set well and easy to relate to as well as those around him. 16-player online is pretty fun, the best part was first starting out and exploring the city with a few other people.
Cons - Game just feels plain, nothing more it adds to life or furthering the experience of the grand theft auto series. Driving is a BEEEEEEAACH when trying to round corners, you're instantly ice skating with worn-out skate shoes. Needs more weapons, weapons need a better feel to them. Needs more choppers. Could be easier to get 6 stars. More interior-space buildings, for gamemodes like defend the safehouse or somethin.
Overall, it felt like the 60 dollars I payed was to walk around New York City with more detail and drive cars like it was the middle of winter. Depends what you do I guess.

Re: GTA 4
The very first car I "jacked", the owner chased my car then held on to the bumper at the back. He was being swung all over the place until he finally fell off and was rolling behind me. Now whenever I steal a car I wait to see if they chase me, then I wait until they are upon me and drive away in hope the same thing will happen.
It's only happened again once.

It's only happened again once. That happened to me, twice. Did I ever mention the physics goes wayyyyyyyyyy beyond My expectations? It's like and entirely physicized world.

Except for the stuff that's too tough for you to break (walls and the like) it IS. Throw a piece of trash at a window, the window breaks. Ram a car into a window. The window breaks. Get your tail cut off in a helicopter? It'll be completely out of your control beyond altitude, just as it should be. Oh yeah, did I mention I just went out and bought a copy?

Not to mention that it uses the Euphoria ragdoll system. http://www.dailymotion.com/us/cluster/v ... videogames

Re: GTA 4
I like the euphoria predictor better than Havok, to tell you the truth. I somewhat like the explosions in Saint's Row better but the gameplay is somewhat more amusing in GTA4, as well as the multiplayer.

People actually collide and be awesome and also has a sence of self perseption. I play this along w/ SSBB.

Re: GTA 4
I'm wondering what's going to be in GTA 5. Perhaps you can follow sniper bullets to see who it hits, where it hits them, and what arteries/veins/organs it breaks.

Re: GTA 4
I hope GTA5 is near-futuristic. That would be great, as i greatly desire more futuristic Sci-Fi games.

Official Xbox 360 Magazine Australia wrote: SUMMARY: There are no ifs or buts; GTA IV has to be experienced by absolutely everyone (er, unless your'e under the age of 15).It's undoubtedly the biggest game of 2008, the biggest game of the decade, even, and a truly momentus achievement in the history of entertainment. This game is as essential as oxygen. Official Xbox 360 Magazine Australia also wrote: You need to play this game. You need to tell your non-gamer friends to buy a 360 just to play this game. Heck, if you've lost your hands in some kind of freak gardening accident, then you'd better damn well learn how to use a 360 controller with your feet in order to play this game. They really like GTA4. In Aus it comes out in about 5 days. I wanna get it, but I just spent my last moneys on a second controller, Splinter cell Double agent, and Rainbow six Vegas.

GTA is fun the way it is. Add more fun stuff and it's even better. Add some comlicated system required to live and it's less fun.

I just look forward to when you can go in every house in the whole city.
It's a long time away though.
