Re: Alright, Gentlemen, Listen Up.
The order was sent to C to pack up and move to B, with B meeting them towards the coast with the hovercraft. Unfortunately, the fuel split over 3 vehicles was not enough to get them all the way there. At about 2 thirds of the way, the vehicles stopped. By the time B had rescued the survivors, they had taken heavy losses, but managed to procure the water treater, and a handful of survivors. D set a trap for reanimated, and narrowly avoided having them miss it. They have captured 12 reanimated. A successfully halted the attack of reanimated, using less ammo then they thought they would need. They will not need resupplying for another two attacks. The chopper, sent on recon duty to examine I despite the storm, narrowly avoided the worst of it. They report about 500-1000 reanimated at sector I. This intelligence will give an attack team an extra chance (I.E: instead of 6 outcomes, there are now 7, to a max of 15. Any extra outcomes are wins with minimal losses, which are the best possible outcome for an attack.) at reclaiming the city. D and B are both beginning construction of Air Strips and vehicle plants. They will be operational in 5 days, unless a more urgent matter requires their attention. After the capturing of reanimated at base D, it was observed that they will attempt to climb each other if stuck in a low area. Eventually this means they could escape or climb over obstacles. The reanimated were moved to a more secure holding area, while D has begun adding additional height to the fences of their outer walls. This will take 2 days. Day 2 has begun. Notice: Grey represents a deserted facility.

Re: Alright, Gentlemen, Listen Up.
Have some reanimated shipped to every facility with a research capability.
I want them completely analysed, we must find out if there is anything we can use against them.

Re: Alright, Gentlemen, Listen Up.
No, the shipping will take too long. D is perfectly safe right now, so it doesn't need to work on anything else, and B is going to be a factory in my mind, since it's also an island. A will be our forward base.
Continue research, top priority is figuring out a vaccine, below that is behavioral patterns, and below that would be how they work in a group so well and if it could be disrupted.
A should set up a perimeter, creating periodic outposts. They also need to take the nearby mountains in the long run. Safety is of utmost importance, do not jeopardize the base by overextending too quickly, and do not engage superior forces. If there is nearly no chance of crashing, such as in a clear day, begin reconnaissance of the area with our helicopter so we can set up a more secure front line. Have B work double-time getting that factory going, we're going to need it to take back at least North America.
And do not assault I yet! We need to take this at a steady pace.
What are your thoughts, gentlemen?

Re: Alright, Gentlemen, Listen Up.
Remember, it took 1 day to send people from base C all the way to base B.
Besides, time is not that much of an issue, playing the waiting game only allows the re-animated to rot and become one step closer to being fully dead.

It also gives them time to group. We don't know how they work and think yet, so we can't know if there are more potent forms or any other unknown factors. Since D is safe, why split up the zombies when you can just study them at D?

Besides how (un)intelligent they are?

Re: Alright, Gentlemen, Listen Up.
But D may not have the most advanced research facilities.
By having them spread around, more people can examine them, statistically increasing the chances of a breakthough.

Re: Alright, Gentlemen, Listen Up.
It doesn't even matter who is most advanced anyway, the more people examine them, the higher the chance that one of them will make a breakthrough.

Re: Alright, Gentlemen, Listen Up.
While having no major biologists or psychotherapists available to assess the reanimated, all facilities make due with the available library and internet archives to study biological and mental patterns amongst the reanimated. A small knowledge bank exists and is added to every time an observation or major discovery is made.
There is also the slight possibility that a purple sector with survivors may have acquired knowledge we know not about.

Re: Alright, Gentlemen, Listen Up.
So, could we have a description of everything we currently know about this damned things? 'twould help in our decision making as to where to send them and what our next move should be, sir.

Re: Alright, Gentlemen, Listen Up.
Also, are they degenerating, like proper zombies?
Or are they not going to go away if we wait long enough?

Dauss wrote: The reanimated are driven for flesh, they are able to climb simple structures given enough time, and move at about the speed of a person walking briskly. They seem to possess only very basic planning skills, such as where to put a footfall for the next step, or where something just was, if it has vanished from view.
Destruction of the brain is the most efficient means of disposal, however extensive body damage has been known to cause fatal bleeding out over a period of time, dehydrating the brain, and not allowing electrical nerve signals to originate.
They display no signs of team work or co-operation, other then attacking in great numbers, and can spread the virus through a single fatal bite or deep scratch.
They will also not starve, and will take significantly longer to decompose then a regular human corpse. They also do not seem to require oxygen. Bleed outs are fatal simply because of dehydration, which the blood would remedy. As just discovered, they will also climb each other if entrapped.

Re: Alright, Gentlemen, Listen Up.
...what about drowning? 'twould be a good trap to lead them out onto one of the island bases and then destroy the bridge, taking out a good pack of them...assuming that they can drown. Well?
