Re: HUGE EMERGENCY!
End the process tree of explorer.exe, it will give you a pop up window saying it cant shut down part of the tree. Thats fine.
Now go to "file" select a new task, and in the slot type in Firefox's application name...
EG.: Firefox.exe , FF.exe , Randommovie.exe whatever its called, with its program extension. If it doesnt work... just type in explorer.exe and you will be back to square 1.

When I did end it it just restored itself, but now it's back to only taking up 10000kb of memory and the only problem is firefox not starting...

Re: HUGE EMERGENCY!
You've probably got a backdoor program. They use an internet browser to bypass any firewalls. You need to end the internet process, and end the process that starts and injects itself into IE. You need to find where that .exe is, close the process, and delete that .exe. The .exe is probably located in the system32 or Windows folder, probably looks like a legit process. Worse comes to worst, reformat. Unfortunately, many backdoors are designed to survive a reformat.

Interesting stuff, but it could probably be taken care of for good with a utility like Darik's Boot and Nuke (DBAN) which completely erases everything on the drive to DoD specifications.

Of course, you could always do a hard reformat. Magnet magnet magnet!
