R.I.P. Bob the grunt,he died bcak in Halo 2 due to that first drone with the frontal shield that shot missles,if he hadnt of died he woudl have killed all those brutes before they had a chance to react,with his PLASMA RIFLE OF DOOM + 37!

I'm thinking that the Marathon series are in fact the sequals to Halo 3, i mean Bungie has said that the main character in Marathon is the main character in Halo.
So, Master Chief is in cryo for some amount of years until the beginning of Marathon. Which would explain the time gap.

Well, there is a security armor suit which is from the Marathon games that you unlock by getting gamer score from the game. So it's a good proposal.

Johnson dies,
whats-her name from the 2nd one dies (shot in the back for trying to kill johnson, to keep him from being tortured or used to activate the ark)

the last boss is 343 guilty spark,
the arbiter makes it to earth,
Master chief (john, 117) and cortana, on the other half of that ship,
are stuck near where the ark was.
he freezes himself and tells cortana to wake him when she needs him.

it then shows there ship falling to a planet, just as the sun comes up, and a bunch of lights on the surface kick on to show billions of cities.
you can see cities. streetlights, it looks the way that place on starwars looked.
(from 1-3, with the jedi temple)

so there gonna wake up there and go "oh ♥♥♥♥ first contact ♥♥♥♥!"
and master chief is going to (presumably 4) wake up and go meet people, with a bunch of guns on his back, and start another war. oh goodie, now its across the universe instead of the galaxy, just what we need.

Anyway, how do you know that's a planet with a new race on it?
It could easily be sanghelia, or unngoyland.
(or.... whatever the elite and grunt homeworlds are called. I just know that their covenant names are sanghelli and unggoy)

I was more thinking an ancient planet that the forerunners lived on. Considering it is so close to the ark and it was nearly invisible until the ship entered it's atmosphere.

Does anyone know where I can DL Marathon? I beat Halo 3 (I also saw the alternate "Legendary" ending) and I want more Bungie games.

NOTE: This is not warez, Bungie released it as Freeware, but the DL isn't on their site.
