Well I have no problem with the environment. They've got an excellent level design. It's just that the level happens to be filled with the same enemy everywhere.

It's not really the same enemy, sure they look alike, but they all act a bit differently. Hard to explain, but in the demo I noticed that some of them were couples, some argued and fought, lots of stuff like that. There was even that psycho lady and her "baby," which turned out to be a revolver.

About the enemies being the same... look at some of the concept art for enemies. They only showed the general public a few shots of weapons, plasmids, and enemies because they want us to be surprised by the final game.

Some of the enemies don't even look like they spawned from humans.

And about the plasmids... I can only name about 8 off of the top of my head... that means that there is still about 60 to discover.

EDIT- To prove that their are more enemies in the game, I chose some very strange concept art to share:

Oh man, this game is going to kick major ass. I played the demo today, and I have to say it was intense. The beginning was very dramatic even though you don't know what's going on. But the cinematic quality of it was tremendous. And as soon as you see the city and all it's like outside, you have a feel of the world you're in. As soon as you enter that building, however, you get a sense of the violent atmosphere. It's a great game, and plasmids are great fun. Not to mention that those water effects look so realistic. Again with the drama, at some points I really had the impression of dying in the atmosphere; not in real life, but it was put together pretty well. The game reminds me a lot of Condemned, although the fact they put more of an emphasis on bullets is a plus. Cannot wait for Tuesday.

...why is the monster carrying a MP40...? It also doesn't look like it could've spawned from a human, it must've done ALOT of growing.

*Edit* NVM, most likely the same reason theres a Thompson.

Someone want to explain why you are all busting a nut over this game and what specifically will differentiate it from any current or future next-gen title?

Oh come on, haven't you played System Shock 2?

There's atmosphere, a good story, combat different from a typical FPS, many ways of getting goals done, lots of exploration, etc.

Once you get the Thompson tho, you can throw strategy out the window. :P Maybe every once and awhile using some plasmids now and then..
