Re: The Matrix Is It Real?
Does post count really matter? @thepantsman: Brilliant observarion, I belive that I read somewhere that the movies are supost to reflect relegion and that the 4 main characters are suppost to represent major biblical characters.

Re: The Matrix Is It Real?
When did we come to having a 2 page long discussion on whether the matrix is real?

Re: The Matrix Is It Real?
It's barely two pages anyway.
And if the Matrix was real, then the producers and writers created this world. It's all plain bull ♥♥♥♥ anyway, so let's just drop it.

Re: The Matrix Is It Real?
No one cares. It's a fantasy science fiction world created by the whats-their-name brothers. Simple as that.

Re: The Matrix Is It Real?
I don't think I've ever read that article alpha commando. Might be an interesting read, though. I hadn't considered how the main characters might be part of that metaphor.
@Shade: Why does it even matter to you personally if a bunch of people decide to have a stupid conversation about something that doesn't matter? I can see where you're coming from, but still, if people want to have a conversation that you consider to be irrelevant, you don't have to post. Or even read the thread for that matter. by the way, as to the "upping post count" comment, there are a lot easier ways of getting posts than this.

Re: The Matrix Is It Real?
I think people's opinion, on how the Matrix is a giant religious metaphor is completely wrong. I think of it in the completely opposite way, the movie says it perfectly. Free your mind. - Morpheous Everyone jumps on this and says "Free your mind from evil and Satan!" My response is "Free your mind from Christianity, biggotry, hate, violence, false icons, ignorance, slavery, and sexism."
Well, massive thread jackage.
Back on topic, No. The Matrix is not real. You have no claims to support this.

Re: The Matrix Is It Real?
Of course you cant disprove it either. Off topic: How is religion bad? You seem to be busting it quite badly in that post.

Re: The Matrix Is It Real?
religion = war Almost everywar has had something to do with religion. Spanish and english = religion WW2 = religion(jewish etc)
Religion isnt good in my opinion. Plus preists scare me... A priest with a load of boys (they said they were over 18 but I think they had fake ids) (working experience)

aracanid wrote: Plus preists scare me Umm, whatever, thats just anti-religion propaganda. My grandfather was a lutheran pastor and had to be the smartest most reasonable person to talk to I have ever met. I'm sure have missed him . Also in recent years many wars have been fought in the name of freedom rather than religion. WW2 was more about someone hating a religion, rather than one religion exterminating another.

Your right too, personally in the case of Cathloic preists; no truly straight guy can live out his life with no romantic 'contact' with a woman. (poor souls)

Heaven and hell, for instance?
