Re: MMO Discussion Thread
Hero Online would work, I don't think I remember my old account info anymore.
CO on a different server or something?
Dungeon Runners?
Shattered Galaxy was fun, though to be honest with about 4 of us playing, we could pretty much solo half the battles that ever happen on the newbie planet. I could actually end battles myself by the time I left it.
Dare I say VCO again? I really liked that game, though we should try to be better organised.
It doesn't have to be an RPG really... actually, it might be better if it wasn't, since people sometimes get angry when you outstrip them in levels really quickly and leave. Also huge differences in levels make it less fun in most games.

Re: MMO Discussion Thread
Yeah it seems like it's always me, Alenth, and someone else who stay the longest. Then me and someone else leave Alenth alone.
But uhh... not CO or any of it's clones running on the same engine (example: Eudemon's Online, or whatever it's called) because those don't even try to HIDE the grinding in them. Hmm. It would be cool to have a WoW guild on a private server, but with the illegal and whatnot... yeah.
So... Hmm.
I was looking into RF Online, but it glitches like fudge on Vista, so I don't know how it is. Does anyone know of any good MMOs we haven't completely eaten the life and fun out of yet?

Re: MMO Discussion Thread
If we go for an MMO, there will be grinding. I find that CO and Eudemons at least make the grinding someone fast-paced, as opposed the some other games...
Nothing illegal, nothing that we need to pay for.
Hero Online is still out there. The download would be somewhat comparable to VCO, it's less detailed due to age, but is a fine game nevertheless.

Re: MMO Discussion Thread
Gunz is FPS mmo. But most people have BIG egos. Seriously. And there's a certain style of playing that's overpowered. It's impossible to win otherwise.

Re: MMO Discussion Thread
Hmm... I'll look into it.
I still think we should ALL give Granado Espada a shot. I've always thought that game was fun as hell, and with each person controlling 3 characters, we'd have ~24-30 people when we raid dungeons.
Edit: We try to do things that are RPGs...
Edit2: Sword of the New World is the American title for it.

VCO crossed with KOTOR? Not at all. It's based in err... the Victorian era, I think. Well, at least it has a Victorian feel. It's got great graphics for an MMO. But most importantly; YOU CONTROL THREE PEOPLE AT ONCE. You'll thank me.
