 Crobotech Beta 3.2
CROBOTECH BETA 3.1

Changelog:
3.2:
Changed a lot of wounds to make them more robotic.
Made the Crobos a bit tougher.
Added an Activities.ini
Couple of other tweaks.
3.1:
Updated to fix Mac compatibility.

Known Bugs:
If you have changed your DeltaTime setting away from the default DeltaTime = 0.0166667 some weapons will not function correctly.


An army of powerful robots with advanced weaponry.

Features:

Two base infantry actors, the grunt and heavy, that change depending on what weapon they are given.

A large walking artillery piece.

A selection of semi-futuristic themed weaponry.

Pretty explosions :)

A teleportation system to safely deliver units.

I was going to wait till the next build to release a beta, but since it seems like that's a long way off I cut out a bunch of unfinished stuff so you could all play it now.

A lot of you probably haven't used the Crobos as I haven't released anything since build 23 came out, I hope you like them!

Apologies for making all you old hats wait so long!

Lots of thanks go to TLB for all the help with lua, almost all of it was written by him

The tank was based off of one of No_0ne's Acrab units.

Lots of thanks to everybody who encouraged me to keep working on this mod and to all the other modders that inspire me :)

Maybe one day I'll finish it!

Well, I see you kept to Crobo anatomy, lights/grunts have mechanized clone bodies, and the rest are brains in buckets.

Unfortunately it still needs loads of work, need to sprite new engine effects and stuff and was thinking of mounting some turrets on it.

Ahhh, my heavy crobo got molested by a a dummy repeater, he is walking around on one leg, and is giving off clouds of blood, fire, and what not.

The spriting is beautiful, of course. Honestly I don't see someone being able to top this. Ever.
The class-changing for TWO different units is really amazing, even if there is no change in functionality (is there?) it's both really cool and technically impressive.

I see all these little touches, like jetpack smoke exploding on the ground. guys breathing, guns venting heat after a shot- it's just... Wow.

The sounds are amazing. Playing through all the nearly soundless mods around here, the sounds of Crobo really give it that extra coat of polish. The reload sound makes the wait less tiresome, all the unique firing sound make every shot fun.

I'm not sure what's going on, but I suspect you have some sort of regenerating energy shield around your guys, making them invulnerable to waves of cannon fodder, but balanced in that heavy stuff or extended fire is able to damage them. Really amazing stuff.

My only complaints are the jetpack sound is a little intrusive and the Tank guy's "face" looks kinda comical.

EDIT: Crap, now I have to screw with Tarterus to make these new Crobos work with it. Eh, totally worth it.
