Hey guys, I know about the "first mod rule", but I figure that since I plan on improving and working on this mod for quite a while, I can post it in its current state. (New Update)

==United States Marine Corps.==

Rifleman- The simplest of soldiers, reliable and powerful, equipped with a M16A2, M9 Pistol, and two M63 grenades.

Gunner- A rifleman equipped with the M249 SAW and M9 pistol capable of extreme direct fire.

Grenadier- A rifleman capable of both direct and indirect fire, equipped with the M16A2, 203 Launcher, M9 pistol, and two M63 grenades. (Alt fire now functional, use Pie menue+ Gold Dig AI)

Designated Marksman- A rifleman capable of precise support fire, equipped with the M16A1 United States Marine Corps Squad Advanced Marksman Rifle (or SAM-R), a M9 Pistol, and two M63 grenades. (Maybe M14 later, the SAM-R was just easier to sprite :D)

Fireteam Leader- The highest ranking unit, equipped with a M16A2 Aimpoint, M9 Pistol, and two M63 Grenades.

Change Log:

-Added functionality of 203 Launcher for the Grenadier, thanks to CaveCricket's Dual Weapon Mode Template.
-Added two new units, DM and FT (I might have forgotten to change the Fireteam Leader name...)
-Two new weapons to go with those units (M16A2 SAM-R, and M16A2 Aimpoint)
-Tweaked offsets on helmets.
-Tweaked M249 sprite.

To Do:

-Tweak more offsets
-Maybe add the M14
-Improve sprites (M9, M63 and M249)
-Add more grenades (Incendiary.. Smoke (how would that work? :???:)... Flashbang (...?)
-Add field dressing and K-Bar knives
-More units (Medic and Anti-Tank next... after that.. maybe Anti-Air and Engineer...)
-Freakin HELICOPTER for craft... No idea how that would work... never made Craft before...
-FIX the stupid M63 Grenade

Critique, comments, feedback, flaming, any and everything is appreciated. :)

Once again, lots of credit going to CaveCricket and his amazing Dual Weapon Mode Template.

Blaaah, fixed dependency on Skulls.rte, I couldve sworn I did that already =X

Theres something about skull.rte in the misc text file, I suppose there should read USMarine.rte. I like this mod, actors are smaller than clones but not too small and the weapons are good. Really good first mod :D

They look good.
Keep working on them because those sprites are really good.

Oh and always when you give actors weapons always write the main weapon first so they don't drop in battlefield wielding pistol.

@mbbird- Actually, I had given them ACU originally, but when I converted it into CC palette, it came out like that... and I figured it looked cool enough so I left it.. :-o

@Mangusti- Yessir, Skulls.rte is the file for my second mod, which I started after this one and spent alot more time on... will release later on when I can get some Lua on it, I dont want it to be too plain and boring... I imported the M9 from that one into here. Thanks for the feedback :D

@Lizard- Will do, thanks!

Woah those 2 new units came fast!
Still looking good :wink:
You could make that anti-tank soldier FGM-148 Javelin missile launcher. It totally requires lua to work properly tough.

Also i just want to say making medic unit is really easy to do, unless you are going to tweak lua that is in vanilla coalition file.

Or you could just look what mangusti wrote up there. Just replace that skull.rte with USMarine.rte in misc.ini.

Doh, I could've sworn I had fixed that already, really sorry, I was playing around with two USMarine.rtes in order to make the 203 Launcher work and I guess I fixed it in one of them, but not the other, and ended up deleted the one that I fixed it in, =P Thanks for your feedback though, I plan on borrowing the Lua from the Coalition Homing Missle Launcher for the Javelin.

Its cool man. Also make the m14 a m14ebr..... A javelin would kick serious ass. I suggest a shotgun, maybe a remmington 700? or a mosberg 590.(and claymores too)
