I liked Numgun's Idea so I decided to whip it up quickly. Even if it's not used in the next version of zombie defence it's still a nice little bunker that could be used in many situations. I have now integrated it into the pack so you don't have to download it separately. I also lowered the firing window a tad so you can shoot out of it easier now.

Fall down, go boom.

Any actor that jet pack jumps over this pit will feel the hurt, fill it with whatever you please. The bigger the bomb the more effective it is.

I wanted to create some screens that turn on and off when actors go near them so I got some help in with the Lua and now everyone can have flasheh screen gizmos in their base. Thanks to Grif and Weegee for the Lua help.

This is still a work in progress! When I get time i'll fix everything and make new stuff for this pack but right now you will have to live with what is there. :P

V5 - Added everything into the same pack and added the new screens I have been working on. I have some stuff half way done and that will probably be added at a later date. Out of college looking for work now so I've become busy again.

I know, I know... I feel bad releasing it on it's own... I might make a few more bits and bobs and add to this/make it a pack... but it's late now so I'm going to bed. :P

Also... I’m glad you like it... I really should pluck up the courage to post more of my mods. :wink:

This really reminds me of the imperial keyboards in the Jedi Knight series.(well atleast in part 2)
Maybe putting an imperial officer in it(unmovable) would make it cool.

You really should make more of these little things to ad to a base, don't have to be usefull. Things like cargo bays come to mind, maybe even so that you can put the dropship dock in there and have a drop-off point.(Just a big bunker piece to fit the dropship and dock in)
Or a camera room. Is that possible with lua? showing parts of the battlefield on camera. Placing some cameras and there visual part(a slighlty dark square on screen) showing on the screens in the camera room. That would be AWESOME.

But I know ♥♥♥♥ about lua so....

Thank you for your comments... I'm glad that I made something that is worth a place in your CC folders. :)

I was thinking about using Lua to make the screen come on when an actor is near? It's just there at the moment but it makes a nice brain room wouldn't you agree? :grin:

Since I have gotten so many positive comments back about this piece I will have to have a think and see if I can come up with anything else that will be equally applauded.

This is just the panel from the second mission, correct?
It would be nice if it did something, I can't think what that would be though.

Perhaps someone could make some sort of defence system (a shield?) that would only work when an actor was standing by this console.

also trains on any map was possible.


Edit trains.lua

self.hoverY = self.Pos.Y

self.maxspeed = Some variable in a .lua in the map, a lua file just to create a variable.
not hard, even I could do it.

Okay Guys! Bit of an update...

I have put screen lua on hold for the time being as I’m not a strong scripter and some suggested something new that I wanted to create to make this into a pack.

Please see this as an open project though... if you wish to fix the alignment of the sprite or even do the lua to help me out please feel free.

I liked the cargo bay idea and so I have come up with this:

I know it's just edited from the RocketSilo but by the time it's finished it'll look pretty nice. I still have to do the background but with the little control room at the top and with enough space to put a dock on the top right this module could prove useful to quite a few of you. :grin:

I was thinking about putting lots of crates in the background and such. To make it look like a real cargo bay. :grin:

I got another idea too. How about a sick bay? Make it a healing room? :grin:

@Miles: It's just a module, what you see is what you get. For the time being at least. :wink:
