Re: The Emporeans - New and improved!
@Mk2: I have some plans for a digger, but I haven't gotten started on the variants yet. I also have a couple of plans for easy-loading craft and a spritey zero-g car/shuttle. Other than that, I'm waiting for data to stop rockets from exploding when they fly ulside down, it really limits zero g flight.

Re: The Emporeans - New and improved!
As DSMK2 said, are you planning to resprite the coalition legs? They do look a little weird, especially with the dark outline contrasting with the light outline of your original sprites.

Re: The Emporeans - New and improved!
Congratulations: you have replaced all of my mods with this one.
I believe all involved in creating this should be in developement at some stage because this is fantastic. the sounds are a bit spamy on the actors but oh well everything looks nice everything works pretty well....
except that one pistol thing that fires the 4 rockets that fly around lazily. if they don't hit anything they just disapear... thats not right... make them explode instead of disapear. really.

Re: The Emporeans - New and improved!
Normally I don't say much about mods I like, but the Emporean collection is fantastic. I love the theme- it feels a lot tighter and realistic than most. The colour scheme and bleeding-edge fragile weapons make me feel like the Emporeans are a surveying team or weapon-lab scientists forced to defend themselves with the fruits of their own labor or some contrived crap like that.
What I'm getting at is, well done.

The style, I loooove the style of those bulky realistic spacesuits. They are awesome, and the weapons are well-balanced but not down-right weak. Please continue this mod!

Re: The Emporeans - New and improved!
I love that, if you can tear off all the armor without killing one, there's actually a regular-size soldier underneath it all! Although if you only tear off the upper armor of the power suit it tends to faceplant like an ostrich.

Re: The Emporeans - New and improved!
I also noticed regular soldiers in side...When they're being blown to bits by explosives. But one question about the powersuit, the legs are reversely jointed, how does a human leg fit into that? Just asking...For fun

Re: The Emporeans - New and improved!
They look great coupled with Icelands viewtopic.php?f=24&t=10786I like how they're resilient enough to take a couple of the Bear Faction's RPGs to the face. Though I think it's far too much entertainment using various sniper rifles to blow their fishbowls off... They've been a joy to fight, well detailed and thoroughly entertaining! Thank you! One question though, does anyone else get a little 40k feeling when they lose their helmets? Kinda makes me think of the Sisters of Battle. ^^

Oh wow, really fat Sisters of Battle XDDD
Those EVA clones are not women, despite the name, though at first sight they do look like female.

Earth 2150: The Moon Project had the Lunar faction with the 'Fat Girl' chassis that coul dhold four turrets... >.> And yes, it's the first sight thing that makes them look female. Still love knocking their helmets off with sniper fire, they can even take hits from the Darkstorm rifle pretty damn well. I'm still having the best performance using the Bear mod's stuff against 'em though. Not so much the heavy armor, just one of those for defense and a few Spetsnaz guys with an RPG and an AK.

Re: The Emporeans - New and improved!
The Emporeans are really not hard to handle, when compared to other crazy factions out there(AAL, Pelian, etc). They are well balanced and can be used with vanilla content without them owning everyone else. At least they are not very tough.

Re: The Emporeans - New and improved!
I'm glad people are loving this! As it stands, if new weapon ideas hit me, I'll add them (such as, I may have to do a shotty equivalent, and I've been playing bioshock so you can guess where this is going.)
I'm busy with a side project, which, incidentally, involves another project mentioned on this page. But, my main goal for this mod is refinement. I still have to figure out why my actors vaporize so easily (I'm going to mess with joint strengths and wound limits later.) I'll also likely do a leg and armor resprite for the EVA clones.

Re: The Emporeans - New and improved!
And, I've figured out part of the reason my powersuits were so weak! The suit's mounting scaffold had a gib impulse limit of 20. So, that went poof along with all of the armor if anything big hit. I tried hititng it a couple of times with a ronin bazooka and it takes the hits pretty well now. These guys should also be a lot scarier to fight now. Bring big guns!
See the first post for update details (but gimmie a minute to upload.)

Re: The Emporeans - New and improved!
Bump for minor updates;
Fleshed out the LMI Flechette, added a new variant (the wire gun) and b23'd everything as evenly as I could manage. Also beefed up the JointStrength of the EVA clone's armor.
