The only plus to having multiple hives is that if the first one breaks, another one is left. It wouldn't make more bees, because that would just cause a lot of lag. Otherwise, I like that idea.

Or multiple hives would make the same amount of bees in a faster time.

That's true. What would the limit be for the queen bee to appear? Also, how would it decide where to put the nest?

I'm not sure what a good limit would be, but the nests should be placed near grass and away from other hives.

Quite.

On to the mod: works and plays great. I do a have a suggestion- maybe sometime in the future, Midas will make another controversial decision and start selling mutated Polistes Necare that oh, say, blow up when attacking, or are considerably larger than their native counterparts?

Now I remember my own Pain mod. If anyone would be crazy enough to affix these deathwasps to it, go ahead, bee nuts...

nice i love the way they devour people but on problem.
if you are flying around pwning people you might accidentally fly into the ground therefore getting stuck.
but otherwise great mod :)

If you encounter bugs (pun possibly intended), please let me know as much as possible about the specific situation - what map were you on? How many Deathwasps were in the swarm? Did you have a hive? Were you using any other mods at the time? What happened immediately before and after the bug occurred?

I get lagspikes on any map, with any number of wasps, but bigger wasps make the spikes laggier and more likly to crash, I also had a hive, and a ♥♥♥♥ ton of other mods. I think an actor spawned in to cause the lag spike.
EDIT:
Ignore this, turns out it wasn't this mod, it's just that this mod was like a straw on the donkey's back.

after using this mod I found it quite fun! now I want the wasp plasmid from Bioshock  Just think about it
Quote:
Wasps swarm around you as you look for a target. Just as you start to get impatient a Ronin takes a shot at you, he missed. Your opponent is defenseless as he reloads. without remorse you direct your swarm toward the Ronin, after a few seconds your foe drops as your swarm returns awaiting the next kill

it would also be neat as a shield gun so you can fire your weapons as your swarm attacks at the same time(Bioshock 2 ;) )
here are 3 more idea's
toxic wasps - after your hive reaches a curtain number of kills the queen starts to lay a few venomous wasp eggs. the toxic wasps sting releases a venom that causes a actors health to start dropping at a slow but steady rate (out of a swarm of 50, 5 would be toxic)
paralysis wasps - basicly EMP wasps.

instead of a queen wasp the hive releases a parasite wasp that causes the first actor it stings to slowly die, but as it is dieing it starts to release wasps and after the actors health reaches 0 it violently gibs into the new smaller hive( maybe the smaller hive would release the toxic or paralysis wasps? )

Hmm, if they were to swoop, the wasps would have to deflect around 90 degrees of their impact angle.

Not quite sure how you do it, TLB, but you're doing it.

I think it would be better if after a few wasps die (because the nest would be in danger) that the queen starts making demon-baby-poison-wasp-things
I would also like the idea of upgraded wasps (like guard wasps that stay around a nest and attack things that get too close, etc) and how about a bug-sprayer... and also I don't know if its possible but could you make a grenade that would release a swarm of controllable bees... would be like a really pissed-off porta-hive

Perhaps somebody could make a grenade out of this. Bees in a jar or something. It'd be a cool little surprise for the enemy.
