   |   Re: Grav LanderThat's what I was saying, I didn't think all of those details were possible with the CC palette. Nicely done. All I have to do is add a KMF insignia somewhere and I have my own personal dropship for the Kloveskians.
 Fudging win.

   |   Re: Grav LanderI'm not gonna lie, the sprite is phenomenal, but as Daman it just doesn't fit in with everything else.

   |   Re: Grav LanderI joined simply so I can comment... first off, it looks absolutely amazing. Really, it does. but, when I throw it in to CC it crashes saying it tries to load a null entity from base.rte or something like that.... any help ?

   |   Re: Grav LanderOk, after a little testing, i have a few things: - Sprite is absolutely fantastically made, but like Daman said, it somehow doesn't fit very well with the other stuff. Awesome sprite anyways :3 - One can't land on regular dirt without the ship plowing through the dirt. Oh well, it has high enough HP for it to not matter - The ship is actually surprisingly easy to control, which is a good thing. - The gibbing is zawesome! - The legs actually absorb some of the shock when landing, something that the regular rocket legs doesn't do properly. Overall, great job! (b^.^)b

   |   Re: Grav LanderI reserve judgment on the nature of the sprite, but I agree it doesn't really fit.
No DL on the grounds that it's too big for my liking.

I like tiny craft, like the SPANKY.

   |   Re: Grav LanderFirst off, thanks for all your comments, people. compliment and critique alike. I've updated and fixed a few bugs thanks to the advice from Thanatos and Numgun, and I've tweaked a few variables to make it play a little more like I want it to. Here's the updated version--exhaust now damage actors, health is back down to 100, etc. The bay doors are still on the bottom. I kinda like them where they are, I suppose. Shook, the cling clang, Daman, Oni Zanders, etc.-- I admit, you are right in that respect. The sprite does not match the style of cortex command. I could try to make it fit in better, but that's my choice. I just prefer it my way. I don't subscribe to the method of spriting pixel by pixel in MS paint--I design the sprite in high res with a tablet, prepare it for scaling, scale it down and then do my best to edit out bad scaling artifacts. Then I do small detail with a one-pixel brush. I like to leave the gradienting and such a little noisy, though. Keeps it form looking plasticy. Achieving the same style of rendering by dotting out one pixel at a time from a palette is just a bad idea. If you don't like it, don't download it and perhaps go make some sprites of your own. Daman--where am i lacking in grammar? Besides capitalization. I don't capitalize sentences or I's because typography studies show that lower case letters are more legible to the mind. Capital letters at the beginning of sentences are redundant anyway since they are precluded by punctuation.

   |   Re: Grav LanderNice rendering, but I think your mod would be much better received if it matched CC's style. The whole thing just kind of looks out of place. Nice job, nonetheless.

   |   Re: Grav LanderHm, sprite doesn't CC very well, but it's nice nonetheless. I do like what you've done with the engines and emitters, though, very nice effects.
Also, if you've still got it, could you post the original drawing(s) that you used for the sprites? I'm not questioning whether or not they're your sprites, I'd just like to see this in full detail.

Also, I think you could do wonders with scenes, texture and backdrop-wise. Maybe give that a go?

The Kloveskans have their own dropship. But damn, it's nowhere near awesome as this.
