Re: UniTec (B25_1.0.3)
Oh, c'mon! A mod doesn't has to be logical or strictly balanced and all that crap to be good. It just needs to be good.
And it IS innovative. Tell me one mod that has that functionality. Only one, and I'll say it's nothing new.

Re: UniTec (B25_1.0.3)
Innovative =/= good.
There's a reason people do things the same way over and over again; because it works.
Having one gun with a krapfrillion modes would be pretty cool, sure, but i'd hate to see unitec turn into that. It's a great idea to make a mod like that, but it's a pretty terrible idea to take an existing mod and convert it into that.

Plus this adds the problem I brought up a page or so ago, "My brain was assaulted and raped then they took my gold while i was trying to switch to the (Insert gun here)" Miggles hit the nail right on in my opinion Gotcha if you do do this I will have to hold on to the old unitech. Or heavily modify the new one. I think that a long buylist with the presets worked just fine. Innovative? yes Practical or useful? Not even a little bit. If I pay for and want to use a Glock I dont want it magically turning into a Beretta and vice verse. With that said, it is your mod so do what you will. I know what I would like to see but something tells me that Unitech is more for you than us

You know, I'm not seeing a single word in this post... Gotcha! wrote: Meanwhile I am making the FN Five-seveN change into the next gun in the buy list and so on, so no more long buy lists! And for the actors I managed to get a script which changes the first buyable actor to the next by pressing the Z key. ...Say that the Five-Seven is going to be every single firearm in one. Frankly because he didn't say that. It's going to change weapons in the Buy Menu, refer to the latter portion where he mentions a script doing the same thing for Actors. Every single of you is twisting the change bass-ackwards to a point where it's an entirely different implementation. Read the posts.

Re: UniTec (B25_1.0.3)
Even if that is actually what he is doing it is still kind of a dumb idea.
CC is fast paced, especially when playing with other humans. I want to buy, order and get out! Not mash the Z key or settle for the first one.
This might work better once presets stay saved but for now it just isn't practical or logical no matter how you slice it.

Re: UniTec (B25_1.0.3)
I'm just saying that contrary to the word on the street, it's not going to become the Zorg ZF-1 Ubergun (Although a separate weapon of its own which is the ZF-1 would be rather cool). Whether it happens or not isn't my concern, since I use UniTec for the Activites, and its vehicles and pre-built bases.

Re: UniTec (B25_1.0.3)
Beware of the Chinese mooncakes mate, I read on a newspaper that they are made with rotten eggs and industrial dyers.
Back on suggestions: make a elephant rifle, or a slugger (ya know, the kind of guns that shoot really big piece of lead at a slow velocity that decimates people and bounces off heavy armor).

Re: UniTec (B25_1.0.3)
Most weapons/bullets will probably change in the future, as soon as the dev team has some ideas about standardizing bullets. Some of them will definitely behave like elephant guns if vanilla content will remain as powerful as it is now. Hopefully they'll tone down some things though. The coalition heavy sniper rifle is bloody insane. Victims sometimes fly off the screen after being shot. I do hope to avoid stuff like that in my mod.

Re: UniTec (B25_1.0.3)
So it seems that even after a long time of defending my brain in the activities, neither the zealot or SHIELD mechs will spawn/appear. Any idea why?
