 Key to get to item menu?

Post Key to get to item menu?
Is there a key that takes you to the item menu? I Always get stuck in the ground and can't commit suicide so I need to know. Also are there any other tips or hidden commands a newbie should know about? If so pleae tell me, it would help greatly, thanks.
