Post Mr 47's UPDATED manual
Since the old text is now somewhat out of date, I figured I'd make anew one.
Note that, until Dirtmaster says otherwise anyway, this is totaly unofficial.

Welcome to Granite Corporation!

We at Granite Corp. would like to take this oppurtunity to welcome you to our rapidly growing organization. Granite is an up and coming mining corporation, dedicated to the explotation of the many new worlds, which can now be explored using brain-transfer technology, and the supply of mining equipment. Granite employs a diverse group of individuals, ranging from 'Cortex Commanders' such as yourself, 'organic' humans and a variety of robots and clones.

Our people are our greatest asset!
At Granite Corporation we know that without YOUR assistance none of the marvels of this new age could be achieved, we seek talented, motivated, individuals with the skills needed to succede in the market of today. Whether you are stationed at home on Terra or at the far frontier, you can rest assured that your role at Granite Corporation is an important one.
Granite is proud to be an equal oppurtunity employed. We provide all of our employees with generous penchant plans, as well as excellent pay and benifits.
If you have not yet received your own copy of Full Benefits Guide for Humans Document #2238. (If you are a clone or robot, you should receive Document #2239, Abbreviated Benifits Guide for Artificial Life Forms
Please note that Granite corporations benefits and penchat package is dependant upon survival of assigned duties. Posthumous compensation will not be extended to employees, their family, their clones or their robots.)
Please note that as a result of corporate downsizing, all benifits and penchant plans are cancelled

Getting Started:
Granite Corporations main goal on any planet is the extraction of valuable minerals. On your assigned planet the main resource in this case is gold.
However, if gold was merely lying around on the surface of planets we would be able to have un-manned robots go in and scoop it up themselves. Unfourtunatly gold is mostly found underground, and must be extracted manually, although with less accuracy.
This can be accomplised with the aid of the new Hand Held Ground Disruptor/Disentigrator, commonly refered to as 'Diggers'. These come in three varities, light, medium and heavy. Each level uses more force to more rapidly and effectivly disrupt soil.
HHGDD's work by the simple matter of applied force and energy. When activiated the 'diggers' emmiter broadcasts a wide spectrum field of both sonic energy and energy 'pins'. The pins work to break up the soil, while the sonic waves break it up and challen the resulting debries towards the collection apparatus on the digger itself. This results in fast and effecient collection of valuable minerals.
WARNING: NEVER point an active digger at your face, torso, genitals or limbs.
Digger emmissions are known to cause cancer, progressive degeneration of organs, miscarriages, hemorages and high fever. As an employee of Granite Corporation you accept all risks and hazards of operating these machines.

The Command Interface:

Your command interface (AKA: Keyboard) is your main method of influencing the world and your minions. the controls have been kept simple in order to allow for maximum effeciency:

Player 1:
W - Aim up
S - Aim down
D - Walk right
A - Walk left

H - Fire weapon
J - Laser sight/careful aiming
K - Switch or pick up/drop weapons
L - Activiate jetpack

T/U - Select next clone or robot
T+U - Select Cortex Commander

Player2:

Cursor keys - movement and aiming
numpad 1 - fire
numpad 2 - hold for careful aiming
numpad 3 - hold and use Left and Right to switch devices, or Up to pick up a device on the ground, or Down to drop a device.
numpad enter - jump
numpad 4 - select next non-brain actor
numpad 6 - select prev non-brain actor
num 4 + 6 - select brain

Clones and Robots:
In the course of your work with Granite Corp. you will be required to perform duties which require the presence of multiple individuals. As such Granite Corporation will provide you with various qualities of clones and robots.
Clones are direct copies of the brain of an individual (minus various aspects of free will and morals) inserted into a generic clone body. Via telepsychic manipulation it is possible for clones to be directly controlled or allowed to carry out simple tasks on their own. Clones tend to be more fragile than robots, but much more flexible and lighter.
Robots are mechanical and electrical assemblies which can be directly controlled by you via radio. Robots are more suited to surface combat roles as they are tougher than organic clones.

Rockets:
All Granite Corporation deliveries planetside are made via rocket. Once within the atmosphere control of a rocket is transfered to you for more accurate delivery.
WARNING:
Compression technology used in rockets has limiations. Ordering excessive amounts of clones or robots may result in injury/damage on exiting the rocket.
DO NOT STAND DIRECTLY BENEATH A ROCKET WHICH IS TAKING OFF OR LANDING.

The DIRT:
DIRT, or DIspute Rectification Technology, is designed to deal with the inevitable conflicts with rival corporations which arise on planetfall. Many people are rushing to the frontiers to find and exploit the new resources across the many worlds just discovered.
Here we will give you a brief overview of the avalible weapons, also included here are various tools, such as the Diggers, for easy refrence.

3jw Hand Held Ground Disruptor/Disentigrator, Light ('Light Digger'):
A simple 3jw digger, this is designed for close to the surface tunneling. It will have trouble breaking up dense soil and will most likely not be able to scratch concrete or dense rock.

12jw Hand Held Ground Disruptor/Disentigrator, Medium ('Medium Digger':
Using its increased power the 'medium digger' can blast its way through concrete and dense rock, albiet relativly slowly.

33jw Hand Held Ground Disruptor/Disentigrator, Heavy ('Heavy Digger'):
The most powerful digger avalible, this will chew through just about anything, including those who try to interfere with your operations.

Construct-O-Eeze Automatic Concrete Dispenser:
Using newly developed compresion technology, the COE concrete dispenser is capable of building minor fortifications and sealing smaller tunnels with ease. Conrete is tough enough to absorb heavy punishment from many weapons.

Iyuger M12 10mm Semi-Automatic Pistol:
A standard sidearm designed to be cheap, while retaining the power needed to punch through robotic plate and clone armour. The pistol is relativly accurate, but not especially powerful and has a small clip.

Iyuger M85 Sub-Machine Gun:
Essentially an automatic version of the M12 pistol, the M85 SMG is somewhat more powerful and has a larger clip, but is also a bit heavier. Full auto fire tends to make this less accurate than the pistol.

Khuzkovich Combat Shotgun:
The newest in a series of combat shotguns, this weapon is designed to pierce armour while delivering an effective spread of shot. At closer ranges it is accurate and very deadly, the further away the target though, the less effective the weapon.

Alexei-Khuzkovich Assault Rifle (M47):
A longer ranged, more powerful, version of the Sub-machine gun, the assault rifle is very effective at any range.
NOTE: On the current single-player map you are quite capable of shooting yourself in the back of the head with this thing, be careful :P)

Sonisu 82 Rail Launcher:
Firing small grenades, this rail gun is good against targets. With their pre-set timer grenades can be fired to burst over enemy fortifications, raining deadly slivers down on the opposition. As it says on the package:
"HAPPY GRENADE CIRCUIT BEAVER HOORAY!"
An excellent example of superior Japanese technology.

Right then, sorry mr 47.

Lin's big list.

1.Upon starting single player:

Difficulty settings:

Easy: Relitively few enemy robots, small spawn time\
Medium: More robots, quicker spawn time.
Hard: Many robots, Death = spawn + new spawns.
Death: Same rate as hard, but robot spawns above actors, rockets and brain. It is no longer safe to leave your base(robot will spawn and fall on you killing you instantly.)

2.Best strategy for beginning of game:

Use current rocket to block off the roof entrance.
Buy another, give it one clone and one medium blaster.
Fly it to the entrance on the left side,
release the clone,
move the clone to your base,
block entrance with rocket.
Have fun with your sealed base.
Never forget you can reload infinite times.
*This is a requirement for Death mode, as enemies will fall through the roof hole to kill your brain.

3.All about rockets.

The rocket is both your transport in the beginning, a weapon, and a wall.
Transports players down, and gold up.
Kills anything in its exhaust.
Usefull as a quick wall when dead.

Often unknown properties:
If the legs of the rocket come off, you can stand it up by pressing down and the steering button that goes down in that situation.

more to come later.

Would you please change the title back? I really dont like random edits of my stuff.

Also, although I dont want this to sound mean or anything, you are not the editor of this manual, I would be happy to take ideas from you, but I would appreciate it if you would stop talking like this is your work.

I think that reviewing mods in the manual would be out of place. This is designed to convey information about the basic, plain old vannila game. Mods can do their own information, or somebody can make a seperate review of the mods.
A guide TO modding, however, would be fine.
