Post Omfg! Data come look! Greatest forum idea ever!!!
Ok, so I was thinking, since everyone does advertisments for their mods (well, most do) how about a credits system!!! Everone starts out with 600 oz in thier profile, and when they dl a mod, whatever the price of the mod is automatically gets subtracted. Then if they make a mod, its thier way of generating revenue! Just think how many people would add screenies now! And think of all the new mods that would come out. Sooo many people would be making mods! And for the cycling of the credits, moderators wouldn't have credits taken away from them when they dl'd a new mod, that way we would have a continuos flow of oz. Also, you can still dl'd mods if you have negative oz, it just looks bad on you. Think about how great this would be!

Vote or die! post comments and ideas here as well.

No cause we would get a bunch of spam mods of people just making 5 sec guns to get credit.
And if you have -credit and still can dl then it really does nothing.

If you have -credit and can't buy mods
=
Plus not everyone can make mods sure it might inspire people to make mods but people starting off would just be making 5 secs guns remake and hoping people would dl their mod so they can buy the better mods.
Your idea is flawed.

It's perfect as is.
A free exchange of mods.
Maybe rewards monthly or yearly(more likely) to whom ever make the best mod.
Like 50 bucks or something and their name in the hall of frame
Since mods help keep the game going not many games last without people mods.

This would make people want to learn modding and do orginal and great mods.

But even this could generate problem with people unwilling to help others make mods due to the fear there mod might be better then the one they are making.

No, because people who don't make mods (like me) won't get to download any when our OZ gets deducted :x

Thats why, it rewards the moders, and those who just dl'd them, its like keeping score. I admit, my score would probably be under 600, but not negative. It's like a way of keeping track of points.

I think just a rewards system like if someone really likes your mod they can press a button that says Give Kudo and that person would get a Kudo and there kudos would be kept track of underneath there avie there would be no use for the kudos but it would be sort of like a ranking.

Honestly, this is a horrible idea. Really. For people to make good mods, they need to dl and learn from the newer mods out there. People that release mods want people to dl them, so having someone not be able to dl a mod is just silly. We don't need any kind of credit system because this is, by internet standards, a rather small community and we all know each other quite well, so a credit system is just an inaccurate representation of what we already know. Also, I have actually posted quite few mods, so I would get less credits than most people out there.

Finally, we have PLENTY of mods out there. The ONLY thing this does is encourage people to post mods that they normally wouldn't have posted, which means that the mods probably suck more than usual, thus giving our forums more clutter.

ew.
