Post Couple more ideas
- Different minerals to mine? maybe iron or something. for making ships or whatever, when you can't contact spacecrop. + Recycling, being able to mine away a space shuttle and haverst the scrap metal would be cool

-Poison atmosphere. Only robots can walk on surface. Humans and aliens use mined out caves ect.

-A planet core, earthquakes and volcanoes.

- Vegetation! Vegetation that strongly hinders surface traveling, and makes it easy to hide!

- Hidden enemy health?

- Wild life.

- Different ways to win in skirmish.

- A way to repair robots and vehicles.

I'm not sure if i agree with the poison air thing and the metal mining sounds cool to but if they put it in i would want it to be an OPTION, it can be hard enough just worrying about the gold but metal as well!!! that would be a challenge.

I definitely like these ideas. The poison atmosphere needs some questioning though.

Can humans/aliens walk out in the air getting damaged bit by bit, rather than not being allowed at all?

(Extra question if you agreed with the first question.)
If us humanoids and aliens can walk in the poisoned air, can we buy air-tanks/gas masks when deploying new forces so we don't suffocate?

Edit: And as Blackwolf said, new materials SHOULD be optional. Easier for some, hard for others.

I meant to add optional, and poison air on Gas planets not on all planets. I was thinking there should be planets with electrical storms like lightning and stuff that would disrupt robots functions too, to balance em out.

Also for metal, I was saying Metal should be used to make things yourself. Gold used to Order things from space corp. and Astroids rich with metal could fall every now and again in a random spot to supply more metal on a normal basis.

Aside from that, I noticed that the game completly focuses on killing your enemies brain. And with such an unstable combat engine and such a flexible physics engine, it seems there should be more emphasis on building mining and possible tera forming planets(possibly to hinder your opponent). If you decide to fight thats your choice or the other players choice, but it cost quite a bit of money and materials.

Theres a game on Byond.com (ugly mud games onoes) I used to play a long time ago. Called Lode wars that had a similar concept. You mine stuff and steal from the enemy sometimes, but it was more of a hassal to steal in most cases. it was the thinking mans action game as they called it.

I suggested a Repair Tool to Data; he didn't reply. :P Basically what I was thinking was something like a Digger, but which instead heals what it hits (and does not pierce through ground or anything), although it can't restore severed limbs; the using actor cannot heal itself
