Ground vehicles!

How about ground vehicles in CC?
-Tanks
-mechs
-subterrain transports
-buggies
-hovercrafts
-bikes
ect.

Lets say to make it balanced, we could add a new dropship ONLY for vehicles that will drop a vehicle (only 1 can be carried by the dropship at a time) into your base.
And to use it, youll need an actor to climb aboard and press the manipulation key to access it. The vehicle will have its own HP, weapons and features to make your defence line harder than ever!

DISÇUSS!

Didn't I hear somewhere (was it Fearful Ferret?) that Data intended to make ground vehicles? The only confusing thing I see is being able to turn around. :o That might be confusing, would it be instant or what?

Currently, only walkers would be allowed. However, Data might just magic up some amazing wheeled vehicles. I hope you can have as many wheels as you want wherever you want that turn however you want and have individual suspension... oooohhh, I can dream. :) It would sure be great for some interesting missions!

in theory we could have tanks like this but that would require a fiction option for materials

I can see this tank has a lot of fiction.

I'm guessing it will have some similarities to the bikes in the bike trial games.

Mechs is planned.
Other ground vehicles may come.
This is real information, Data said this to me. So Mech will come, but other ground vehicles is kinda nah... We will see, but I hope that Data add other ground vehicles, tanks would so rock.

Well, I never said anything other than it wouldn't be possible. The limbsegment stuff for the wheels just wouldn't function, and friction isn't the best simulation of real friction. It simply determines how "close" and how fast the object tries to get to whatever it touches. Doesn't exactly mean traction.

As far as the mechs, I like it. Very much.

Of course wheeled vehicles can work. Start thinking outside the box.

With the current default map, you'd be limited in where you could drive your tank/car.

But, since Data plans 10 maps, it could probably be fit into later levels.

Also, it's a bit odd that you think you should need a clone to get into the vehicle to manipulate it.

Why? If the brain can control a person, why not a car, too?

I've been kicking this Idea around in my head for a while. Would you be able to use the sprite for a single leg and put a second one behind it so It makes a four legged walker.

My idea is just so that it doesn't have to turn around. the cockpit would be facing the front, and you could drive either way. guns either rotating or on both sides.
