Free Mode
A mode with no NPCs. Right above easy. For map testing, just random digging/building, etc.

Ooh, a sandbox mode. I like. Spawnable enemies would be awesome.

I like what Fearful_Ferret said, like Gmod, only for CC.

Heh, maybe a Gmod like mod would emerge one day if he doesn't add a mode in which you can do it. I wonder what it would be called..Dmod? FFmod? BSmod?

CCmod maybe, but there probably wouldn't be a whole lot to do since there's not really very many NPCs or items in the game, but it would be good for testing maps.

I voted yes, but I am assuming that there is some sort of "spawnables" list or something.

Oooo... sounds nice. That'd be fun, and it can't be too hard to program. (You just remove the parts with the spawning.) I approve.

It would be a nice training. Plus it would be better than playing split-screen and spawning new actors.

Oh, hey, in the official thing, wasn't the first level of the story supposed to be kinda "Shoot whatever you want?"
(EDIT: Oh, and in addition, maybe there could be a second mode for singleplayer skirmish where the costs are removed, or you get a constant flow of gold? I think that would appeal to many people. )

What about something like Strategic Points like Company of Heroes. It is a certain location on the map. You must capture the point to recieve additional funds.
Also it has been in past games such as The Outfit fro Xbox 360.

Haha, The Outfit. That game ruled. I played the multiplayer with my brother a ton.
That kind of strategic points is the kind of stuff I would expect for the custom missions idea we've got floating around. (Which has yet to be endorsed by Data, and honestly I don't expect to be halfway feasible until way later.) Still, would be pretty sweet.

Make sure Data does not read what I am typing right now because he needs to not let me bake a pizza for him.

You know what would be nice to have in CC? A RADAR! Just so you know there are enemies coming and the dot on the radar will go away if they do not move or something.

That sounds good. I was thinking that a crouch button would be good, mapped to C. Not only would you be less of a target, you'd move slower, and according to the devlog shield gif, your legs wouldn't get shot out from under you.
