They're no wildlife in CC! The pictures wouldn't work. You'd have to make a full-fledged mod.

Look for a brain bunker. Like HFTM said, there are not wildlife in CC.
But save first incase you made wildlife.

I still think salvaging the engine is a good idea... Also, perhaps go over to the concrete structure.

reverse engeneer the engine, see if you can give yourself a jetpack with it, then scout out the base.

Salvage the dropship for something combustible, and carry it with you in case you find something harmful.

Re: Jumping on the fanfiction bandwagon, but with a twist.
Sorry for the long wait, everyone, had some IRL crap to take care of. Keep the "an hero" contained within 4chan please. Also, for the purposes of this thread, I'm assuming a few things: 1. The soldier's standard equipment (survival knife, jetpack and gasmask/helmet) has survived the crash. However, in order to do things like dig a foxhole, our brave hero needs a digger, seeing as the rocky mountain terrain is too tough to be dug by hand. Also note that the jetpack is more of a long-jump system that works on highly compressed air, allowing it to be reused indefinitely, but disallowing true jetpack-like hover. Our hero can perform long jumps and hover in the air for a few seconds, but he can't fly around and gun everyone down with his current equipment. 2. Our character, lucky as he may be, is not any more of a superhuman than any other green clone out there. He can't "reverse-engineer" a dropship engine, poor bastard probably only knows how to clean and refuel one and even that's a big "maybe". However, if he finds some sort of instruction manual, he may well be able to learn something useful. 3. Our character is also unable to call for direct evac because he is deep within enemy territory and any attempt to land a dropship at his location would be met with extreme force, regardless of whether the dropship goes out into space to avoid detection. It's the future, after all, and space is as much of a battleground as the planet below. With that being said, let's keep moving.

As you suggested, I spent another day around the dropship. I managed to tear off a part of its engine pod plating and fashion it into a makeshift shield that I can use in conjunction with my pistol. I've also noticed there's still fuel in the dropship's tank, but I have no means to siphon or store it, so I'll have to let it be for now. So far there hasn't been any enemy teams investigating the crash si-- Oh crap. [SOUND ID#6901 FUTABA LX350 ROBOTIC ACTUATION SERVOMOTOR MOVEMENT] Command, the enemy has sent a single robot scout to investigate the crash. It's armed with a standard-issue SMG and probably a pistol just like mine. I've hidden from it behind the dropship, that should mask my heat signature for the time being, but the I wouldn't count on this persistent bastard just calling it quits and walking back to the concrete structure where it came from. At least now I have confirmation there are enemies in there. That set aside, though, what should I do? I could just run off and risk being spotted and chased down, and I sure as hell can't outrun a bot, since it won't tire out. I could engage the bot somehow, even though a single burst from its SMG will already put me in danger of bleeding out with this crappy body armor, though I do have my shield. I could hide and hope it doesn't notice me, but I doubt that'll happen. Unit 3107 out.

Hm..
Hide inside the dropship and ambush it when it isn't looking.
But save first, we don't want a casualty we can't go back in time and prevent.

Hmm...Stay behin the dropship, hugging as close to it as you can, and wait for him to go over it. When he gets to the lip of the ship, jump up, fly over him, and open up on his gun arm., ala James Bond.

Try to see if the robot has any weak spots so that you can defect it. Common Green Clones should be educated with a system to evaluate weak points, especially if they are in a David vs. Goliath situation.

Yes, the clone should know a few weak points. Sneak up behind the robot, and slice at some weak part, shutting it down. Then see if there is anything useful on it.

Wait 'till the scout is beside the ship, then, ignite the fuel causing the ship to explode.
