Incorect information!
You COULD change the start money if you edit the .exe but you could totally ♥♥♥♥ up the game if you did that

Exactly, and unlike you I don't want to confuse people by saying stuff like that.

Yeah I know how to do it and everything, but it's just easier to edit goldcost = -50000.

Hmmm... I have never read any modding tutorials....... I just started by opening up some of the .inis, and then changing them a bit... after that I moved to real mods (.rte) and later I started experimenting for some really unique things.... like one that I just noticed...

Figotter said something about skelies digging.
Are you sure you're using B14? I've left a skelie on top of my brain for over and hour and it never dug far enough to make a difference (about 3 - 4 pixels down)

Well I know I have 14 NOW, but I might've been using 13 and not knowing it when I first tried it before yesterday. That would explain why none of the mods I used worked if they were meant for 14, and why the skeletons were digging if they weren't meant to in 14.

Like previously said, the real fun is modding CC. Check out some tutorials, and check out the mod templates. One of the best editors for CC mods is G.I.M.P. , it's a poor man's photoshop; you can get it here http://www.gimp.org/. And, I know it can be very frustrating at first, but if you can, try to get mapmaking down.
