I'm running a AMD X2 3800+ (not at all top-of-the-line anymore, but still pretty fast compared to most), and I still get tons of lag. Mine doesn't lag. As I said shoot it only once about 10 shots I start getting lag. d
Do note, I shot both nades with my avenger shotgun. (a shell spews out about 30 particles)
And after the holes kept growing without shooting them.
It lagged alot and eventually I had to turn it off through the task manager since the lag was too high. It didnt crash, but it lagged alot.
That dropship was dead long ago btw.

Poor Max!
To reduce lag you need really much memory. More memory, less lag. I'm not sure if processor affects the gameplay so much. It's more like memory.
I have tested this on 4 computers now.
1 Laptop, 0.99 GiB RAM, works pretty well but lags so much that ugh.
1 Old computer, 256 mb RAM, works okay but when something crashes down it lags really much.
1 Newer computer, 640 mb RAM ( or something ), works all right, not so much lag but still lags at drop downs particles etc.
1 PC, 1024 mb RAM, works pretty much same than Laptop, but laptop works better since it's newer.
So yeah. with 2 gib ram the game would work another step better, but I'm not recommending anyone to buy another 1gib card just for CC.

Running on XP home edition, no viruses and I have a Radeon x1950xtx 512mb video card...
I dont see a reason for a game like CC lag on such a comp as mine, why would CC lag if STALKER, Supreme Commander and C&C3 dont?

DERAILING! QUICKLY, APPLY THE AIR BRAKES!
Could you try to carry this on in PMs? Right now we're talking about the bloody dissection of the invincible Maximillian.
What a great topic.
