Thank goodness, too. The chat restrictions are going to be the same as they always have been, but I just submitted an idea that will make it not against the rules if you speak badly, but it'll cut down on it drastically. The forum was getting meaner and spammier, so the rules have to get stricter. I have quite a few up for review myself.

It's not peoples spelling ang grammar it's the spammers. You said it yourself Empyreal, the forums got stricter because of spam. But people are paying to much attention to spelling and grammar than they are at all of the spammers.

To TMM: Yeah, you definately seem like an idiot. You're also lazy, since you can't even check your grammar in that last post. And changing your sig to say that, not only is the sig badly worded, but I didn't think anyone was stupid enough to make fun of a mod, whose job it is to BE the grammar police.

I have a strong feeling that you're one of our less mature members. Eight, maybe? You shouldn't be playing this game, it's too bloody for you. Play Roblox instead.

Yeah, your sig is a bit harsh Mushroom Man. I did that with an Anti-Alenth banner once, and it ended up in a flame war :ccsigh: . But I still do think that people are being to harsh on spelling and grammar. As long as people can understand you, then it's not a problem. Mushroomman, I can always understand you just fine, so people shouldn't be getting on to you.

But hey, that's my opinion.

To Empyreal

are you sure your not to immature to be a moderator?
i mean insulting members trying to get them away from CC
would data approve of this?

and i might change my sig later just trying to emphasize the point that all anyone cares about in this forum is spelling and grammer maybe if everyone wasnt singling me out and being asses
then this flame war would not have started

its like who cares if you have the best mod you spelled "the" wrong so i wont DL
(exageration)

TMM, no matter how much you want to insult me, it's my job to be the "Grammar Police", as you put it. I call you immature because you keep arguing instead of realising that it's easier to correct your grammar. I did not insult you, either. I said that you seem like an idiot. So just speak well and this is all over.

Once again, people being to harsh.

This all started with the "Global rule thingy" right? A lot of those rules are to strict. Only 3 smilies? That's way to little. the smilies are there so you can express an entire emotion without having to write it out.

Instead of saying "Wtf? that made no sense." you would just say " :? ".

Those rules seem to strict. They need to be changed.

I'm probably breaking the "never disagree adout topics locked or whatever" rule, but this is a forum where we can discuss manners in a civilized way.

What I'm saying is this. Typos are fine in chat, where you have to speak fast. But in forums, you have time. Just recheck your grammar before you click submit, please.

I certainly don't want a beef with any of the mods, but I just wanted to point that out.

All the new mods were first made mods because spam was getting to a new high. Now I think that the mods are abusing there powers a bit to much (not directly pointing out you, Empyreal, but all the trial mods are a bit to harsh). However, I do respect that you haven't just deleted this topic and my and TMM's accounts. I like how you let us discuss this and try to come up with a resolution, instead of whipping out the banhammer.

Why don't we come up with a compromise? As long as the poster can be understood clearly, then they may not have to use perfectly proper grammar abd spelling.

First, three smilies per post because they were being abused. You'll live. :P Secondly, It should be in good grammar and spelling. It takes very little effort and very little time to check. Thirdly, if my rule gets implemented, all of the moderators can sit back and ignore the typos.

I know that the smilies were being abused, but not make a strict rule. How about "No unreasonable amount of smilies in one post".

Sorta like the Bill of Rights [/patriotic] "No unreasonable search and seizures" (I may hate you Mr. History Teacher, but at least I listen in class). But I still think we need a comprimise, even if mine isn't a good one.

This is not the place to be discussing the rules so how about we get back on topic.

From what I know about CC there is no real way to make an invisible shield yet.
