@OP, He talks about modding right there in your quote...
Glad CC is getting more reviews, maybe this will spur the dev team to further work their magic.
A lot of the reviews I've read are mostly positive other than the obvious clunky parts to the game. Also, just because someone doesn't like the game doesn't make their opinion invalid

Re: Cortex Command Has Been Reveiwed On jayisgames.com
True. But people need to realize that you can't really just jump in to the gameplay and expect to be good at it. It takes a bit of experience to get used to controlling your actors.
Unfortunately, the majority of people that read the site are casual game players. They're probably used to just jumping in. :/
Well, some of them, anyway. Oh well.

Re: Cortex Command Has Been Reveiwed On jayisgames.com
The reviewer is rather misinformed. CC is not a turn based game. Clones also have jetpacks. Lua also has nothing to do with modding yet, and the he barely talked about mods. Modding is one of CC's main features, if it weren't for that, it wouldn't have half as many fans as it does now.

Yeah, I didn't know what he was going on about with the turn-based thing.
@Rydash: yeah, I still play with 'classic keyboard' because I can't get used to mouse and keyboard (and it makes 2 player splitscreen very difficult. Player 1 ends up spooning player 2.)

Honestly? I found out about this game via JayIsGames and most people can recognise the people that haven't even tried... Also, the rating is at 4.8/5 - I believe that's pretty accurate.

Re: Cortex Command Has Been Reveiwed On jayisgames.com
The rating is off by about 0.2 points, but really half the bad comments are likely from people how have not played the game, like bad ratings on PS3 or Xbox 360 from the opposite platform.

Well. I posted. Take a nice look. I'll give you a hint: the page is now longer than the little bar on the left that lists games.

Tactics and strategy? As much as I love to play this game, it's definitely not excelling in that department. :/
I don't think unfinished games should be getting awards :/

Perhaps not in this category, but it deserves awards in innovation at least... though there is no innovation category... awwww...
