Post Evolution of a game
In spite of perhaps the final build of CC coming out some time, I feel that Data should also release THE very first ever made D.I.R.T build, but compatible with modern day graphics cards. BTW; what was D.I.R.T actually running on back then?

No. No. No.

Whot the heck would wanna play dirt. Would be really fun for the purpose of seeing how much this game has developed.

Search around the forum, you should see The Punisher posting a D.I.R.T version of the game.

It's somewhere in the forums, I got the link from [somebody] on IRC, but cannot rememeber the link, neither the person who gave it .

The first version of D.I.R.T was unplayable. It was simply put, a test to see if the RTE system will actually work correctly. And it ran on and CC still does run on pure CPU.

Yeah... Why?
It took him several months to port it to Allegro, why should he do it again?
