   |   Castle MapJust started on a rough version of a castle map. THIS ENTIRE MAP IS A TERRAIN OBJECT. I've been experimenting with this idea: could you make a map from a single (or a few) terrainobject? Here's a few pics. Should I keep working on it? If so, what should be improved? Do any of you want the files, so you can help me?
Thanks in advance.

   | Looks nice, keep it up!
Oh, and it looks funny because it hasn't got the walls in the background, you know.. Like, castle walls.

   | I think it looks weird because there's not any texture on the walls. But like he said, it's still a rough version of it, I think all he's trying to do right now is make it work. Anyway, nice job, I think it would be easier to just make a whole map this way. The only hard part I can think of would be putting the objects in the right places. And of course, drawing all the parts.

   | Yeah I was thinking about doing something like this, problem is that building materials are pretty limited.
The castle sprite needs a whole LOT more work though.

 It looks REALLY ugly.

   | It could use a ton of work on the spriteing why did you try to put material color on the FG instead of the Mat?
Also you don't even have a background for it or a custom contour

How do you create a stand alone map? I really need to know.

   | I did make a separate mat, those are "castle colors!'' Besides, I know it's really ugly, It's just a rough draft. Master Pimp, go to the link below and download my mapping pack. (well I just assembled the pack) It has all that you need to make a new map.
Here: http://datarealms.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2411&start=15 It's on the second page, third post.
