Request/Recommendation
I just found out about CC today, and it looks great. I've downloaded it, and attempted to play it, but with no tutorial, explanation of gameplay on the site, or anything, I've found myself lost and not really able to figure the game play out.
So here is my recommendation: Someone, whether it be the creators of CC or some fans, need to write a guide explaning what the game is, how to play, various strategies, and any other useful things to newcomers.
I would also recommend giving a more complete description of the game on the site, instead of just one basic page that gives almost no info.
Thank you, and I hope to enjoy playing CC ^-^

The readme has all the controls, but yes, a basic strategy guide would be nice. Just don't ask me to do it; I can mod just fine, but I get owned when actually playing .

The readme covers some of it, the FAQ covers some other I think, and if we gave out our strategies, we wouldn't have any left, would we? But thank you for the intelligent first post, and welcome to the forums!

Keep in mind, Cortex Command is still in progress. Data might add the first few missions in some time, which probably act as tutorials. My suggestion, if you REALLY can't get it, go to Brain VS. Brain by yourself and just mine gold and bring in troops. I gotta warn you though, it's much different when you have hordes of skeletons and clones bearing down on you, you basically have to seal yourself in.
As for how the game is played, it is a simple formula. Mine gold with diggers, kill off invaders with... guns. Bring in dropships and rockets with men and supplies, and my suggestion: then crash the ship in the doorways to your base to provide protection. You just can't trust your men, not with the current AI. (Next build will be SWEET.)

Thank you for all the replys, it's nice to see that the community is this helpful. I've been getting the hang of the game a bit better. It seems the biggest problem is the AI, and that seems like it's going to be fixed in the next version, so I'm now really looking forward to that. Thanks

Well, the community can also be not-so helpful, just don't make any stupid posts and you'll be fine.
