Hand position relative to arm position
Is there a way to change this? I haven't really found any variable in the actor ini that allows me to shift the hand position of the arm when it is not holding anything. As it is, the actor looks really funny with the hand dislocated from the wrist. If I move the arm, the hand moves with it. For some reason, the hand looks fine when the actor is holding anything.

Re: Hand position relative to arm position
I tried that, but unfortunately that moves the arms along with the hands.
I sort of hacked a fix by making the hand bitmap bigger, but nobody else seems to have had to do this...

Re: Hand position relative to arm position
are you sure the arm sprites are integrated correctly? all the offsets correct etcetc? contractedoffset and extendedoffset are the ones you should look for i think..

Re: Hand position relative to arm position
I made the arms using the vanilla files as a template. They are new sprites, however, and the bitmap is a bit bigger. I did set the offsets the best I could, but once again it seems as though I can't figure out what setting allows me to move the hands independently of the arms, or vice versa. I might actually try playing with the dimensions of the arm sprites. The vanilla actors all have pretty vague hand/arm relationships as it is, and it works for them since the arms blend in with the body. Unfortunately, for my actors, it stands out like a sore thumb.
Also, I don't think the arms can have contractedoffset and extendedoffsets. I tried adding them in, but that crashed CC.

Try messing with the MaxLength code, my Oppressor had the same problem, I fixed it that way.

Re: Hand position relative to arm position
isn't there a sprite offset for the hand? just adjust that.
edit: OH! I'm pretty sure it centers it on the atomgroup, so that's what you'd wanna adjust the offset of. I think.

Re: Hand position relative to arm position
I tried copying the hand atomgroups from another mod (the storm troopers from Icelands) and playing with the offsets - there was no effect that I could see. Then again, I have absolutely no idea how atomgroups work, and I couldn't find any info elsewhere that goes over creating your own atomgroups and bending them to your will.
