Post An experiment with a held homing missile.
Can anyone else try to add a homing missile actor to another actor's hands using the Helddevice codes?

I tried it using numgun's AAL Homer and putting it into the hands of a coalition heavy. It did have the effect I intended it to have, but it was really unstable and crashed often. I assumed it was because of the quick and shoddy way I coded it in, but can someone else do it to confirm if it's just unstable overall, or it was because of my shoddy coding.

It would help if your posted your code.
Pretty cool idea, you would be automatically boosted towards the nearest enemy.

The code is really messy, I just pasted numgun's code into the soldier.ini in the base folder.

And my intended effect was for the missile to "lock" on a target while it's still held, and then for the actor holding it to throw it.

Might be a physics issue.
The held actors sometimes shoot the holder, with the rocket that would cause strangeness.
