It's fine venn. Anyway, good luck with the guns, I'd do some sprites but I'm too tired.

Arbites shotgun. i took a template from wiki, and then sprited, here it is.

and what's this wiki you keep talking about? oh and a few questions before i get to work on my gun (i was about to grab my codex) i have a few things to catch up with.

how should i balance my weapons, balance to whats already in game, or, balance to 40K? should i balance it from the rules in a codex, and if so, which edition (i only have the current, and if you going from older editions, i need a place to look them up). are you going from the fluff, or both? i'm gonna get the gun working based on the fluff, and will worry about ballance later.

for range, i was going to base the sharp-zoom off of the range in the codex, but, am not sure how. should i make it 1 inch to 1 inch on screen, or 1 inch to X distance? also, how high in the variable is 1 inch, i dont remember.

Miles_T3hR4t that space marine was like the 4th sprite I've made for CC on the 2nd or 3rd of ever even hearing of this game. I made both the marine and the bolter off the templates for learning, it wasn't until after I made them that I even saw there was a 40k mod here on the forums....I didn't mess with their stats and ♥♥♥♥ because I had no interest in messing with them I'm just trying to learn the ins and outs of spriting in CC. I had no desire to stick to cannon, I had no desire to mimic the 40k asthetic...it was something I simply made and saw a thread with some people who might find it interesting.

However tearing into people's ♥♥♥♥ who are simply showing others their work is hardly any way to get a mod completed. You don't even know me or why I was posting my sprites here. There's being helpful through critiques and then there's flashing your obvious teenage angst all over the place. As far as I'm concerned even if I was interested in helping this mod out that avenue has been closed now. I do professional art for games for over the past 5 years dude and was only trying to be helpful.

i had no idea of your background, nor did i have the intent of insulting you. again, as per my edit, i am sorry, i did not realize at the time of posting, that you made that separatly, without the intent of adding it. i am sorry. i made a mistake. your spriteing is amazing, and IF you would stick around, we could use an exelent artist like you. please. forgive my stupidity on that.

Don't quit, I thought the sprites were great. Don't worry about it, brlieve me everyone gets flamed, you just forget about it. Seriously. You just say shut the ♥♥♥♥ up and It's over. Edit: Wow, I just checked out your site, that's amazing. More later.

Hey, SickJoe, i'm sorry about the flames and such. and also, i just checked out your site too (i didnt notice the link before, and since someone else went, i figure, sure, why not) and... oh my god. zombies, demons, awsome art. holy crap. and is that tank girl in your gallery? (cant read the file-names the URL's are to long)
just.... awsome.

and on an on-topic note.
i just semi-finished the pusle riffle, it is kinda balanced-ish to normal things, if skellies where guardsmen, and robot 2 as a Grey Knight, 1-8 shots per skellie, 3-24 for a robot.
1 damage per round on dropships. (it has low AP, remember)

as per the fluff, it shoots single particles, at high speeds
(1 particle in the flavor text, thats like a grain of sand, not to say 1 projectile, but i did 1 bullet anyway, its not spread), and it is very accurate. for the fluff, and fucnction (low AP, its like a lasgun but way better range, and its assault 2, i dont have the lasgun memorized, so i dont know what it counts as)

Pulse should shoot 2 bullets at the same time, just so you know.

And, to get rid of the shells just take out the shells code; the "shell= copy of" stuff take it out.

I don't know how many rounds for a pulse rife, it shouldn't be hard to find out.

in the mean time, i mostly have it finished with a few touch-ups here and there.
i also made a new fireing sound. made it from a ride-cymbol filtered through piano reverb, and another reverb, then amplified.
i got sick of the sound thats in dawn of war, and that dammed bang-click thing in game.

here it is so far. if you have suggestions, please tell me.
--edit-- i'm gonna re-upload in a bit to get rid of the shells
i'm not makeing it shoot 2 at a time, its not double barrel.

assault 2 just means it fires faster, IE its automatic, instead of semi-automatic. the 2 being HOW fast it fires. assualt 4 is like a minigun, and assault 3 is like, a tommygun, right?
i'll be adding another version without shells momentarily.
