I think we should make dropship gibs HitsMos and Gets hitbyMos 0.
I actually like that idea. They'd still have cool looking explosions, but they'd fall behind terrain. Giving the illusion of a Z Axis.

What I think would be really awesome, is if the dropship gibs gibbed from low GWLs into smaller Hitsmos = 0 gibs. Too many times I've shot gibs flying my way only to see the bullets fly through, and my gibs scattered around on the battlefield.
Also, hatches should only go flying at like, a third of the velocity they do now. And they should also gib into hitsmos = 0 gibs.

Play Physic's Test with my custom flak cannon, a Coalition "Heavy Soldier" that doesn't get hit by MO's and has a mass of 100, and watch the hell.
I'll take some screenshots later, I actually filled the screen to the top with gibs so that any new incoming dropships didn't even get in firing range before they dropped off and left, all I ever saw was their thruster fire xD

Funniest thing I find about dropship gibbing is when the thrusters don't explode but instead go whizzing around the map...and eventually slam into the very actor I'm controlling square in the face when I think the thrusters are gone. Still don't find it old, gets funnier every time.
