I don't want to ask someone personally just saying you can make it if you want to

Maybe I'll give it a shot Kowie. I can't code weapons though so offsetting and the rest would be up to you. Unless of course, someone else is already on this.

I can offset guns, if you can't do that yourself.

Ok, GRAY IS MY STYLE!
But seriously i can't realy sprite guns that arn't at least 50-60% gray.
Also, i'll try to sprite the bruser pistol in a little.

Re: The Riggers - Army idea
Riggers aren't exactly the most colorful of creatures. They're not flashy and don't so much care to stand out. Their weapons tend to have pretty simple coloring schemes. Originally I imagined their weapons being a solid silver-ish color. I think totsy's coloring is just fine. The Flechette cannon seems like it works fine to me. It murders Kloveskan soldiers in two to three shots, which is impressive seeing as they're armored to all hell. The Thunderclap rifle does seem a bit underpowered. I'm not sure how the Kloveskan layered armor works, but it takes three or so headshots to kill them. I've always imagined that gun to be a one-shot wonder against human targets when fired at the head, regardless of how much armor they're wearing. Yes, the offsetting seems a little off, but I never really cared much.

It's really hard not to. They're probably my favorite original army. They're tough, but not as tough as DarKlones, which are just a pain to fight most of the time.

My attempt at a sprite for the bruiser pistol. It's quite hideous and thusly relinquish all copyright...stuff.. JUST EDIT THE FREAKING SPRITE

It works in the same way as the Helmet, it's an object which is sitting on the person, and it absorbs bullets. The helmets are a problem though, because their sprite covers the whole head, if the bullet goes through then it misses the head completely, which sucks. You can't fix that, a good way to deal with it though would be to hold a pistol as well and shoot them with that first.

Ah, Kloveskans make good enemies, but I've had enough of their damn Officers with Devastators blowing Riggers' heads off.

Re: The Riggers - Army idea
Augh. Went back to fighting DarKlones to find out I still can't fight them x_X None of the weapons can pierce their armor well enough. The Heavy DarKlones especially. The TC Rifle does nothing. Hell, it does very little against standard DarKlones. What the crap does one need to actually hurt these guys? TC Rifle definitely needs some tweaking of some kind. After I shoot a standard DarKlone in the face at point blank, I expect him to bleed, at least a little >.> Other guns are pretty much where I want them tough.
I really don't want the Riggers to be the most powerful faction out there, I just want them to be able to fight anyone.

Re: The Riggers - Army idea
Well, if you want to make a gun a 1-headshot-kill weapon, you should give the projectile LOW sharpness (Yes, low, read on...), high mass and high velocity. A projectile with very high sharpness doesn't really give a lot of impulse to the bloke it hits, as it just phases through cleanly, while a blunt projectile would have to force its way through, causing a much greater impulse. And that's where the high mass and velocity comes in... An impulse of 250 kg or higher should be enough to gib the head of any vanilla actor, but making it higher would absolutely not ruin that effect. I'd recommend a total impulse of 300 kg, to ensure gibbing/decapitation... (Neck can break as well :3) Of course, a projectile with such an amount of energy would have a considerable recoil, but in reality, the wielder will hardly flinch An example of such a projectile would be like, 0.5 sharpness, 1 mass and 300 velocity. That aside, this seems like it could become a great army/faction. Can't argue with shady, bloodcrazed sociopaths from outer space

Dude. Ocular Bleeding wrote: I've always imagined that gun to be a one-shot wonder against human targets when fired at the head, regardless of how much armor they're wearing. I think he does. Besides, you'd need an impulse of at least 2500 kg to be able to gib anyones torso. An impulse of 300 allows a weapon to take off heads/limbs in a single shot, but if the struck bodypart doesn't gib, only a relatively small amount damage is inflicted, depending on how many projectiles there is, and if they pierce through or not.

Re: The Riggers - Army idea
I suppose I'll rephrase that. I want that rifle, which fires small cannon shells, to squish vanilla actor heads. I want the Heavier AHuman actors, like the Heavy DarKlone to at least say "Ow."
