Post Need help
Hi. I've recently gotten back into playing cortex command, but I've noticed that the AI is extreamly easy.

What I need help with is finding a way to make the computer spawn Only heavy and light soliders, with AK47, and more frequently then on death difficulty.

I enjoy playing defense, but most of the time I find chops in the action because the AI spawns things too slow, and skeletons often get stuck.

Is there any way to stop the dropships killing it's own troops 50% of the time when the computer drops them?

No, except putting only one troop per ship.
That very slightly lowers the chance.

Maybe if we change the dropship to a hover engine instead of a jet one. And increased the responsiveness of acceleration and deceleration?

You can do that by modding the current dropships or making new ones.

Might I suggest using one of the mods that has a "Teleport pad" such as the Crobos.

Well I pretty much have it figured out. I modded my Activities and Index to include the Unitec mod and made the light troops spawn two at a time from teleport devices that drop from the sky every three seconds. Talk about Zerg rush. Though I have to say it's refreshing not to have your troops die by random debris, but at the same time I sort of regret not putting them in because the debris deaths can be VERY epic. Usually an engine, or a part of a ship out of NOWHERE will zoom by, splatter my solider on the ground, and I'm left staring at the screen in disbelief, in a good way. So I put the dropships in as well, and they are set to spawn Unitec soliders. Wich are alot tougher. So now I have an even blance of heavy and light troops. 2 light to every heavy. And a good ammount of dropships still on the field, yet I also have the light troops spawning from teleport pads. it's got a real zerg rush feel to it and I like it.

EDIT: Also the light troops are set to spawn with M16s lol.

Also I was thinking. Maybe one day someone can make a grab mod. Where you have a melee unit with large claws that stomps up and can smash/pick up and throw units. That would be an awesome element to the game. Kind of like a melee mod.

I have to say, these modifications to the spawning are great. For those who like wave after wave of light clones to rush them relentlessly. Should I make this a minimod? It's difficult. I could make my own teleport pod and give each clone a SMG and grenades.

Notice the lack of debris in the photo. Lots and lots of gore, no annoying debris. And lots and LOTS of enemies. This is after about two hours of hard fighting. I have an elite skeleton up there with a minigun.

Originally I had about oh....14 turrets defending the base of the tower. But they eventually were destroyed, and I was almost over whelmed, so I took a holy digger and wiped the base of the tower. They still come strong though. Eventually they climbed up and actually took my brain by force.

EDIT: Gonna up the spawnrate to 2 per second...see what happens....

EDITEDIT: Added the photo. I call that tower style the 'Steps of Despair' Great for just watching your guns mow down troops as they charge blindly in. Dosen't last forever though. And you have to clear the gore from the lower guns with a digger sometimes.
