Predator?
Should I make this mod? Right now, my one idea is to sprite the actor first, then start nulling pixels until we have some dim parts for the outline for the invisible shape, and some in between for added effect, it wouldn't just be the outline, it'd have kind of an invisible but not quite feel. Anyway, besides the appropriate weapons, maybe have an exclusive back mounted blaster whose muzzle-flash is part of the actor, so it looks like it consumes power from the stealth ability every time he shoots.
Thoughts, ideas?

Re: Predator?
how about a glow effect instead? that way you can actually have a partially transparent actor instead of this workaround...
to make it I suggest drawing the sprite as if it were normal (not optic camouflaged) save, make a copy of it but make it all 255/0/255 save use that as the body part, make another copy of it but set the tansparency down to what you want it to look like and use that as your glow effect.

Re: Predator?
Sounds like a cool idea and a make-able concept. I think you should atleast give it a shot, if the stealth thingy doesn't work out, a predator actor without stealth would still be pretty damn bad-ass.

Re: Predator?
I haven't honestly started making the sprites for this because I'd been flooded with university work. However I have a little time now. I do have a good workable model from which I can design some nice sprites, perhaps I'll use my corp to refine it or simply get the community's help to get it done.

Re: Predator?
The glow solution wont work. At least, for the limbs. You see, glows cant rotate, but normal limbs can.

Uh, could you make the glow attached to the arm?

Re: Predator?
It would if you were very, very bored and had the time to attach a separate glow to each pixel.

Re: Predator?
Wouldn't that lag a bit? there's some like 90+ pixels in an actor

Yeah, but it's the only way that I can think of.

Re: Predator?
Well, what I'm gonna do is post the sprites for the non-cloaked this weekend, and then it's fair game for everyone to use and modify and post as they see fit, as long as they don't claim ownership or prevent others from posting their versions too. I'll post my cloaked version then, which would also be fair game.
E- though I will need help for non-controllable attachables (want to make dreadlocks from 2 to 4 segments.

My advice, talk to numgun, he always finds a way to work around the CC restrictions and make practically anything work.
