Note: Due to the notorious difficulty in obtaining solid, canon information on the Terminator series, this info is an amalgamation and should be taken with a pinch of salt. If you can find a reliable source that disputes any of this backstory, I will be happy to correct it.

Manufacturer: Westinghouse Inc.

The Westinghouse M25 Phased Plasma-Pulse Rifle is a bullpup-configuration assault rifle, typically equipped with the CRT "flexi-sight" scope. It was the mainstay of TechCom forces during the latter years of the war, although it was first manufactured as the M25-A1 by SKYNET in 2008 to equip its new bipedal killing machines. The phased plasma round proved much more effective at punching through armour than traditional chemical ballistics, making the M25 a desirable firearm in combat against machines.

Design Notes:
Well it's not quite done yet as the sprite needs redoing, when I get a better reference. It's intended to represent the rifle used by the Resistance in the Terminator 2 intro sequence. The version in Terminator's sequences is a little different, I may get around to making that too. Anyway, I was having so much fun with it I thought I might upload it here for a little work-in-progress feedback. I also threw in a map for you to test it in, get a little more into to Terminator mood (Los Angeles 2029). It's not polished, but does the job for now.

There's a lot more scope for addition I guess, such as an Aerial-HK dropship or making a modified Robot1 look even more like a Terminator (although they're not far off as is, to be honest). I'd welcome any ideas, but I'm quite busy so it may be a while in the making.

PS. I won't be making anything from T3. Mainly because it's rubbish.

Eh........the rifle isn't that bad, but the scene is just terrible. Those textures have got to go.

Fair point. I'm hoping to replace that stuff with scenery objects of actual wreckage, but it's really more about the rifle at the moment. The map is like a magazine freebie.

I would have to agree...Boy, wouldn't that be nice, having a friend to play Cortex Command with in REAL life...

EDIT: oh yeah...on-topicness is lacking on this post... well, the gun looks good, but i dont really get the purple flash, maybe radioactive? Map needs serious help *cough*ruins of buildings!*cough*

The map is thrown together in a matter of minutes and mostly predates the B19 editor, so yeah it's bad. It's a placeholder. I really shouldn't have mentioned it in the title 'cause I want to emphasize it's the rifle I'm working on; I might upload a version with the rifle on its own.

As for the purple flash, well... perhaps it only makes sense after watching this? I know the shade of it isn't spot on, but this is the CC palette and my options are limited.

What this needs are one of those big-ass robo (Skynet) mechs. And some Skynet infantry bots. And some resetance lads. And more guns. And a better map. Good mod other than that.

Yup, all that would be great. Maybe even doable within my time, once Data has the editors in a more functional state.

I find with a bit of imagination the robots and coalition fit the roles of SKYNET and Resistance quite nicely for now. I'd rather focus on the things for which there's nothing similar yet, namely the environment and plasma weapons. The future war also featured traditional weapons like CC, so in all a lot of the content can fit in painlessly.

Thanks! Bigger would be cool, although I find this size starts lagging after a while with the current build. Eventually, I hope to change it to a simple clear wasteland and use placeables to create the wreckage (which will look a lot better).

I'm not sure wether it is possible or not, but i got the idea that one might create an actor with flesh over a metal skeleton, like The Terminator, and that the flesh would rip away with blast waves, projectiles hitting, and so forth.
