Re: Melee function with weapons.
Actually, when messing around with larger weapons (Flak cannon, my Slayer Rifle and Ripper HMG, the Tesla Cannon aka Zeus's Middle Finger and so on) I noticed that they can very reliably push, lift and sometimes crush enemies. So technically at least a bulldozer scoop sort of device could be created. There also is a variable in the actor code as to how fast the actor can change their aim. If that's set to fairly fast and a sledge/sword/chainsaw-on-a-stick kind of weapon is equipped it should be able to kill or maim most standard enemies.

Not enough, though- I'd want the ability to slice through ♥♥♥♥ at ungodly speeds.

Re: Melee function with weapons.
I made melee work!!.. Well, sorta. I made a gun that I could hit people with but it seemed to explode on contact, doing more damage to me than the enemy. But it still hit people.

Re: Melee function with weapons.
Is there a way to make the sword slashing animation a little longer so it would be visible more often?

The knife in Control's CSS mod works pretty well.

Re: Melee function with weapons.
The only way you can crush something is by hitting it very fast so... is there anyway to put huge recoil on a weapon, possibly one that shoots air at very slow speeds?
otherwise yeah, it's just gonna be a hitty stick that pushes people around

Re: Melee function with weapons.
What if you had a gun that fired no-range bullets at the tip of the gun, and when you brought it down onto your opponent, it hit it (adding HitsMOS, so you can't just stick the gun on top of your opponent).

Re: Melee function with weapons.
What if you made a beam of short lived particles that went about half the height of a green clone, at 100% accuracy, wouldn't that kinda be like a lightsaber?

Re: Melee function with weapons.
Once again, people have been doing that since B11, it doesn't work.
At least not well.

Re: Melee function with weapons.
that's because they didn't have 100% accuracy, and spread out a little, but if you gave it a glow it would hide the fact that they are lines and would look cool, also the trail must be at least half the length of the gun/ full length.
