Re: Evangelion actors
We've almost got it now, most offsets are done, and we're working as fast as we can on the limbpaths... My guess is it will be out in a week or so.

This gives base design so much potential... Build your own NERV HQ!

Re: Evangelion actors
Yeah but you wont be able to freeze Evas or have a protype graveyard area. But we could have adam instead of a brain,And have it so he has very weak material so that when he is touched he is destroyed and he makes a huge explosian.THat would be like the animae.

Re: Evangelion actors
I tried out the EVA rifle and it was pretty good. Id make the bullets slighty more bright color and a bit more fatter. (particle count to like 3-7)

Re: Evangelion actors
Actor offsets are not trial and error.
I have spent countless hours (4 or 5) learning how do many of these offsets.
I once wrote a tutorial in Empyrical Labs on them.
But it appears that the most important part was the most confusing and needed a diagram.
And let's just say, little knowledge of these "Limb Paths" have delayed the Massive Clone from seeing the light of day.
So at the moment it is 94% functional. He walks like he is crouched, and there is probably nothing I can do about it.
I'm letting my mind run away in my words.

Re: Evangelion actors
The progress sounds great on this. Hope it turns out well!
P.S. Please Fix the crouching thing if you can.

Re: Evangelion actors
I guess the EVA rifle's bullets have a low mass so we can test it, but once the EVA is ready, increase the mass, so it's really an EVA rifle, and not a "giant rifle for clones" <,<

Re: Evangelion actors
Very good Liam, you're the first person who figured that out. Anyway, the EVA has pretty much halted to a stop until Data can help us... It seems CC just doesn't support huge actors, and Data is the one who knows the code best (duh) so we're gonna have to wait until he finds the time to help... Sorry guys, not much left we can do but wait.

Re: Evangelion actors
Just make sure you back it all up. I've witnessed many an awesome project be put away until tech upgrades only to be canceled due to being lost JUST when the tech upgrades arrive.

Ñþóþü ÿрþúÃȄÂÑ‚Ñ‹, this thread gives me nightmares.
Back on track, shouldn't the legs be thicker, or are they THAT thin?

They're humanoid, and the legs are pretty much the size they should be...

Re: Evangelion actors
If you ever make a production model (the white ones without eyes) actor too, it'd be awesome to stage Asuka's final battle in CC. Also, killbox210 wrote: Ñþóþü ÿрþúÃȄÂÑ‚Ñ‹,.... ^That means "damned by god" when referring to several subjects and not "god damn". The Russian term for "god damn" isn't directly derived from English. The proper term is "chert poberi" or çёрт ÿþñõрø in actual Russian. In rough translation it means "devil should/will take this" Online dictionaries don't always handle idioms and expressions well.
